Great!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought both the blue and purple ones for my two girls respectively (because that's the only way to avoid a multi year war) I and they're pretty good but there are two issues that parents may wish to consider: 1. First my girls are very petite so this may not apply should you have a child that may be of a larger build. We have had the Ace for about a month now (i believe) and the girls have somewhat of a difficult time finding a comfortable fit where they don't notice it. 2. Possibly as a result of the first and this applies to the purple one only, it appeared to give my little one a bit of a rash. It reminds me of the days when Fitbit had a voluntary recall their adult sized bands. Now I'm not making a big deal of this because it only happened once but if you're a parent or guardian, it may be something to be aware of. On a positive note, the kids who are generally active anyway are even more active now. If I could harness about 1/10 of that, I would get more done in a day than I do in a week! The best part is that the Ace has a waterproof design just in case, Overall great produce and I recommend getting one if you are on the fence.

Easy for kids, a little trickier for adults
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my kid who doesn't yet have a smart phone. The pros are that it does exactly what it says it will, seems to be up to the abuse of a young boy, and although lite in features, does allow him to track steps and exercise and have a cool looking time-piece on. The not-so-great aspects are that it's really designed for kids who have smartphones. You can configure it to run off of your smartphone, and assuming you already have your FitBit account, can toggle to your kids account so they can synch-up and see their results. That said, toggling accounts isn't intuitive so either get ready for a little frustration during the learning curve or get your little one a phone sooner than you planned. All in all, as a FitBit user for the last five years, it's what you would expect from a no-frills fitness tracker.

My Son Says it’s Uncomfortable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son likes my FitBit and Apple Watch. He wanted a watch that tracks his steps. I wanted something inexpensive that I could monitor. This product was an exciting find for us because it accomplishes all of those goals. We got the family account setup, my son loved seeing his steps. I could see them and send him texts. He could see the time like a watch. After about half hour he took it off though. It was too small for his wrist. We bought larger bands but he still can’t wear it for very long before he says it’s uncomfortable. I’m hoping he gets used to it so we set some fitness goals. I really like it and hope more kids wear them so it becomes a trend.

Motivating
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter loves the device as it helps her stay active and makes the family competition to get the most steps fun. It also helps me track her sleep pattern in case it corresponds to her mood at times. However the band being too tight can break the skin if you don’t monitor your child’s band setting. Finding a good place to charge the watch can be challenging because the cord is very short. Then it gets forgotten to be worn because it is in a place where it is not visibly noticeable.

Good for kids
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter loves this. She has a "real" fitbit. My only drawback is that it isn't waterproof. I believe the ace 2 is, and I wish i would've waited for that one for her. I know best buy shows we've had it for 9 months, but we actually got this 2 years ago when it came out. Had no issues otherwise.

Great device for kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son loves that he has his own Fitbit. It seems to count his steps accurately and the sleep tracking feature is spot on...very useful. The screen can be a little tricky to change from one piece of info to another and I can't seem to figure out how to stop it from alerting when I get a call on my phone and his Fitbit is in range...otherwise, a great product.

Great gift, well made, but a bit too small.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my son who loves it. He could never keep his watch on the correct time, this one does it for him. He and his mom compare activity throughout the day and seem to enjoy it. Got a screen protector as I'm not sure the display was modified to survive the rigors of life with a 9 year old. The only con, which I'm knocking off one star is that it's REALLY small, like 5-7 year old wrist small and I had to invest in a new band right away.

Good for kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She kept saying she wanted a Fitbit . But she is small for her age and I didn't want to get her a bigger one. The only thing she doesn't like about it is that it doesn't read her heart rate. She is a runner and that helps out a lot. But maybe we can upgrade in a year. It is tough enough to take her wear and tear. She has been babying it so that probably helps.
