Q: QuestionDo you have to pay for a membership for this fitbit to work? I saw the comment in the one person's review about a $80 membership fee.

- A:Answer Yes, for some of the features like ECG, you need the premium service. You can still use all the basic functions (step counting, sleep, etc.) without, but even then it might be less user friendly. Once I realized about the ECG locking, I returned before seeing what else premium unlocks.

Q: QuestionIs it a requirement to have the paid subscription? That is something I do not want. The fitbit app I used for the Charge 3 is all I want.

- A:Answer No you do NOT have to have a paid subscription for the normal functions. I’ve had Fitbit for 10 years and have never upgraded to more gadgets .

Q: QuestionHow visible is the display in sunshine and daylight? I had a couple Charge 3 devices (4 to be exact). They were terrible in bright light ... I'm worried that this problem still exists. They also died early
