Very good product, easy to use, loving it.
Posted .As of 5/07/2013 I have only owned the device for a week now but I am liking it quite a bit so far. Set up was easy, plug in device, recognize device, sign up/login and you're off and tracking. Nice looking dashboard online, iPhone app is great for quick stats and entering water, food, activity, etc. I linked MyFitnessPal app so that I could better track my meals and again set up was very quick and easy. The Flex will track and monitor your daily burn along with calories consumed and give you up to date net results. I walk quite a bit between a full time job and a part time job so tracking my daily movement was huge for me. It seems to be pretty accurate so far after having tested my movements with the Nike+ devices previously. I am still figuring out the tracking and just how accurate it is though. The biggest surprise for me in liking the Flex is the sleep tracking. I wanted to test this out but I didn't realize how much I would like this function of the device. Wear it to bed and when you wake up you log in when you went to bed and when you woke up and it gives you the time it took you to fall asleep, times awake during the night, how long, and sleep efficiency. It's not incredibly detailed beyond that, but that is very nice information if you have trouble sleeping or are just curious what type of sleeper you are. When reviewing your sleep activity it would be nice to be able to expand your timeline to view the awake times a little better. The bar graph shows lines and you hover the mouse over them to view awake time, but the lines are very small and you can easily jump from one line to the next. I wish the timeline could be expanded a bit more to really comb over the details. You can edit almost all the settings for your device such as steps goals, calories burned goals, but you cannot set water consumption that I have seen and the default 48oz is way too low. Syncing is very easy on the Flex. You can either open up the app on your phone and it will auto sync, or the device comes with a USB device that will detect the Flex if you're within 20ft of your PC for any length of time. You an also manually sync with the PC device. The device is very comfortable which was my biggest concern. I have the Nike+ Sportband and I found that when I wore it to work anytime that I did heavy lifting it would pop off my wrist. The Flex has not done this once. It snaps in nice and tight, stays high enough up on the wrist so that when I bend my wrist to does not get strained like my Nike+ Sportband did. The flex also looks nice too, not flashy or over the top at all. Hoping for small display in the future, but not a huge deal if they don't come out with one. It's only been a week so the device is still figuring things out, but I like it quite a bit so far and have very few and very minor complaints that will most likely be fixed in future app updates. Edit: After going to the gym a couple times I've noticed the Flex definitely tracks more movement, as far as it being an accurate representation of your movement in the gym is based on the individual. The hour and a half I was in the gym the Flex dashboard graph shows solid red lines, whereas the lines before and after that time are yellow for moderate and blue for regular movements. I also added the activity into the activity tracker so that I could match the spike in movement with the correct activity.

Fun and informative
||Posted .The FitBit Flex does a good job tracking activity and sleep. You can add the food you eat and get calories used and track your weight as well but that requires a lot more work than I am willing to do. The on-line site is easy to navigate and forgiving of error. For instance, if you forget to track your sleep you can edit and add it. I haven't been so lucky with the mobile apps and the bluetooth interface. The apps have real trouble finding the FitBit. My band is lime green and I thought it was so cool until the edges started turning black. I cleaned it according to the website's help instructions with no luck. FitBit's email help parroted the website instructions at first but when I followed up, offered to replace the band. I decided to get black so the black edge-staining would not recur. I have had trouble with the clasp on the band. It is very difficult to snap and comes undone at odd times. Don't depend on it! The last problem is the most frustrating because it has no solution. To get the FitBit into sleep mode you are supposed to tap rapidly 5 times. Then it vibrates a little and the light display travels back and forth. It usually takes about 5 or 6 tries to get in or out of sleep mode. I think the problem might be that my interpretation of rapid might be too fast. Slower rapid tapping works better some of the time, but, still frustrating. All in all, it's a good tool for activity tracking. The online app works well. The community is lively and helpful as is FitBit's email tech help. A few small glitches ironed out and it will be great.

Fun to use
||Posted .I am having a blast using my FitBit. Logging exercise activity and my food log is easy although the food selections to add are limited. The sleep feature is really interesting since I get to analyze how sound my sleep is. I also really like the alarm feature that wakes me gently. I get reminders of how many more steps I need to do to reach my daily goal and cute reminders if I am over my goals. My only issue is the weird charger the FitBit comes with but I only have to charge it every 5 days so its not a huge issue. I have recommended to friends and it makes a great gift!

Getting Fit Bit by Bit
||Posted .The fitbit staff walked me through setting up & linking my bracelet to my computer & weight loss app on my iPhone. I was a bit unclear on the process from the printed directions. However I was able to link my fitbit to my company activity tracker account in one click. What I really appreciate is the sleep monitor (available with the premium subscription). Because I have sleep apnea, I can tell when my mask needs replacing, for I don't rest as well. I get encouragement from seeing the lights note my progress toward my goal. The newer model actually has an LED display bracelet. That would be an improvement.

I Love My Fitbit Flex!
||Posted .I am surprised how my Fitbit does everything that it is advertised to do, Plus it is safe to wear in the shower and even pool activities. I forgot to remove my Fitbit when entering my pool and a half hour later I took it off. When I got out of the pool, my Fitbit was still in perfect working order. I love my fitbit!!!

Great Little Activity Tracker
Posted .I bought my FitBit Flex a few weeks ago and so far I think it's a great little activity tracker. For the most part it tracks my steps and calories burned as accurately as any pedometer would, but what I like about the Flex is that I wear it on my wrist and don't have to worry about taking it off and possibly loosing it. It is truly water proof, I wear it in the shower with no problems at all. I know it is very accurate when it calculates my sleep pattern because sometimes I make note of the times I get up at night and check it against the Flex the next morning. it's always on the mark. If anything it's a cool little device that will help motivate you to beat your previous days results. It's cool to see how many steps you take in a day, week and even for the month. It syncs on its own and has a great App for your smartphone. I haven't had it too long so I really don't know how durable it will be for the long haul. At first it's a little tough to snap it closed, but in time it loosens up and snaps on your wrist with no problem. I would recommend it

Great device that worth the money
||Posted .I bought two fitbit FLEX for myself and my friend. We instantly fell in love with the band after using it for a few days. It has been a source of motivation to keep us both taking the time to exercise and keeping each other in the loop using the free app. Highly recommend to other friends.

Q: QuestionWill Best Buy replace if the Fitbit Flex stops tracking stepd and sleep?I purchased by Fitbit Flex on 8/8/14 at Best Buy in Tyler, TX. During the night Sunday it stopped tracking my sleep. I subsequently realized it also was no longer tracking steps. I reset it according to the Fitbit website instructions, but to no avail. Can I return it the Best Buy store for a replacement?

This question was asked about the related product: Fitbit - Flex Wireless Activity and Sleep Tracker Wristband - Slate
- A:Answer The Fitbit Flex comes with a 1 year warranty. I did not purchase any additional protection because it was not offered at the time of purchase. I took it back withal the paperwork, including an email response from Fitbit. They did replace it but I had to ask to speak with a manager in order to get that accomplished.
