Fitbit, like Apple uses proprietary chargers, which is annoying. This particular type of charger is annoying. This was a replacement to the cable t came with my device as the"wings"on the charger snapped off when it was stepped on by one of my children. The outgoing issue with this charger is that the contract pis have to be oriented a particular way in order for the device to charge. They are difficult to see. Hopefully these issued will be addressed in the next generation of the device.

I couldn't find my charging cable upon returning from a long vacation. Had to buy another one. It works fine but the picture on the box is very misleading and the box had to be opened to verify the correct product. I noticed that was previously opened and carefully closed, confirming that I'm not the only person that was confused. The manufacturer, FitBit needs to change the picture of the product on the box.

This charger is no different from all devices that use proprietary technology. They work but are grossly overpriced and are worth about half the price. That said the choices you have is buy this charger or a third party one they may destroy your device or cause bodily harm. Two stars refers to the price and not the product performance which is 5 stars.

When I left my fitbit charger at the hotel I thought my workout days were doomed. Unknowingly, I went to Best buy to see if they had a replacement I could use so I did not have to break my routine. There it was, another charger just like the original charger. The replacement cost was fair and gave me the confidence in going to Best buy again if I encounter similar incidents.

This is for a Fitbit device. And honestly the design is well thought out but the issue is that they are extremely expensive to replace. $20 for a cable that clearly costs 10 cents to make is nuts. Plus there are no 3rd party makers so the cable will always cost a lot of money. Like I said, great cable and functions well with no complaints however the price is a bit too high.

There's nothing more aggravating lately than your Fitbit dying in the middle of the day and you don't get credit for your steps! It's been my personal experience that aftermarket chargers for Fitbits cause them to behave "weirdly". To avoid potential problems with my Charge 2 I bought an actual Fitbit charger so I would have one at work and one at home.

While traveling forgot charger for Fitbit charge 2. Went to nearest Best Buy and looked for item. The salesperson saw me wandering around and asked if I needed help. When I told them what i was looking for they took me to where the charger was located and grabbed the correct charger. I purchased the charger and was pleased with the customer service.

If you're like me, you plug your charging cable in and forget it until you need to charge your device. Perfectly fine, until you're no longer at home and you run low on power for your fitbit. That's what happened to me. Even if you're not on vacation, having a second charging cable in your office or car can keep you from losing a day's exercise.
