A great sequel to the last disc.

This is a great album from the band Protest the Hero. The vocals have grown quite a bit since the last cd, I get a strong sense of some jazz influence. Also the lyrics and writing are as good as ever. Musically it is also very solid with strong guitar riffs and a great bass and drum presense. My only thoughts of a suggestion are that they use a slightly more organized structure next time around. I know that the crazy riffs and time changes are part of who they are but it is hard for people that arent musicians to follow the songs at all. Also with this style they should play some of the strong guitar line for a little longer. A great example is the heavy part of track 3 that comes just after the intro verse. It is a great part of the song but lasts only a couple of bars and then is gone forever. All in all though it is a very strong disc and I would suggest it for anyone. The best way to describe this music is say that it is an array of emotions that are sometimes so intense that you just want to scream. And its fine if you do.

    Great CD!

This is another great album from Protest. It's very random(ex. keyboard solo in Limb from Limb) but put together so well and it just flows very smoothly(well I wouldn't say smooth like sweet and soft). No matter if you like Metal or not you should listen to this album. Big step from Kezia to Fortress.

    The Greatest Metal Band ever?

The album is a concept of war and human nature. it features some very cool lyrics with interesting imagery and wordplay. The music is definitly a step up from their first album. Intense metal accompanied by bizzare tempo and meter changes. Highly technical but not pretentious.

    YES SIR!!!

It is plain and simple: This is the best album to come out in the last few years in my own opinion. Three years after its release and I cannot get these songs out of my head! I just keep coming back to it. This is a must own album.
