We bought this Frigidaire Freezer to replace our still working Frigidaire Freezer of 22 years. Never had a bit of trouble with it, but it was only 8.7 cu ft and lacked features such as automatic defrost, interior light, and space! This new Frigidaire had all those features. The delivery crew did an outstanding job of getting this new appliance in our basement, with no damage, and the utmost care. Plugged it in, and in less than an hour it was freezing cold. Be sure to adjust the leveling feet, before you load the freezer up, more so to keep the freezer locked down in place. The door is really tight, you have to keep a hand on the freezer to keep it from moving. My wife loves it, plenty of room, and a light.

The door has room for many removable "bins", but the freezer only comes with 3, and additional ones cost $30/ (REALLY???) So w/o additional bins, much of the door space is wasted space. Well lit, and let me tell you you'll get some muscles from opening the door - it's a very snug fit, which is good, but it's definitely a 2 handed operation - one had on the handle, the other on the freezer while you pull to get it opened! Power light is in stupid location (recessed under door, making it hard to see). I would also give this recommendation a maybe if that was an option, due to the lack of additional door bins, or reasonably priced ones that I could buy.

Can't believe I waited this long to buy an upright freezer. Always had a side by side fridge with what I would call a "can get by freezer". Never really had enough room for much food at any given time. Looked at a 13 Cu Ft versus a 17 Cu Ft and am glad I went a little bigger. Plenty of room for everything and I can even make extra food and freeze for later. I even have room for more than a pint of ice cream. Extremely spacious, love the pull out baskets and the adjustable door bins. I can see what's actually in the freezer without having to move everything around. But the best part is the 'frost free' feature. I would recommend this freezer, good price, good features and free installation.

Delivery was prompt and painless except getting through the bulkhead cellar door was tight. I suggest you thoroughly check your opening before purchasing a freezer this size. The freezer has been running for a month or two and so far I have no problems with its operation. It is a little loud as others have noted, but not too extreme. Also, the door hinge is on the right front only and the door seal is quite tight. Almost to the point you feel like it may tip over on you if you pull too hard. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and this is one huge freezer that will handle everything I could ever want.

The freezer under review is a good product. It has a number of useful features. For instance, it needs no frost cleaning. Two baskets. However, the "Features" describe and show in a picture "Basket Dividers", but the said Dividers were not with the Baskets and on call both to BestBuy and Frigidaire, the Customer Service representative could not find them and their Part Number. It is disappointing!!! Even peoples at the Store were unable to explain as to why described and pictured "Dividers" are not available? The Dividers are a great needed necessity. Some ought to find them and provide, professional and business confidence are maintained.

We bought this freezer in May of 2015. The first one delivered never froze anything. Called Best Buy and they replaced it within a week. About a month ago, I opened the door to find everything defrosted. I ended up throwing out a few hundred dollars worth of food. I put a loaf of bread in there and some freeze pops and now they're sometimes frozen and sometimes not. Local appliance tech says that it's the compressor and they cost more to fix than it would to buy a new one. I guess I'm buying a new one and getting the extended warranty but it won't be the same brand.

First and foremost, this thing stays cold. Just what I wanted, great for extra food from the big box stores. We bought it from the outlet with a dent, not impact to my review. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is that when we open the door, the entire appliance slides. Maybe because it is only partially filled. So, we have to hold the side of the freezer when pulling the door open. If you have large hands like me, you can do it with one hand, but my daughter uses two hands. Not too big of a deal for the price. Not fancy, just cold.

I purchased this freezer at Best Buy on March 2, 2015. On 12/6/2016, I discovered a freezer full of spoiled food. What a waste! Best Buy does not service appliances in my area though I bought it at the local Best Buy store. I tried calling Frigidaire for assistance troubleshooting the appliance so I could perhaps repair it myself. They could not do anything more than refer me to another store for repair. Other appliance stores charge a trip charge of several hundred dollars with no guarantee they can repair the freezer. DO NOT BUY!
