Top marks
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Frankly, when my old freezer quit, Frigidaire was not the brand I wanted to replace it with - however, I am now a convert. I was worried that the interior of the freezer appeared to be set up too much like a refrigerator with too much storage in the door. I have not found that to be a problem, but I should have added at least one door shelf pocket when they were on sale. The soft ice-cream shelf is a nice feature, but too small except for the smallest containers. One of the best features is the open-door alarm - that I had reason to notice recently. Unfortunately, this is also a feature that could be dramatically improved if the alarm sound were much louder and at a pitch older people can hear. I really thought it was a cell-phone beep until I chased down where the beeping was coming from. The other really great feature is the temperature display on the outside of the door. (Yes, even with the door slightly ajar, it stayed at -10.) The interior lighting is excellent, the pull out drawers are very helpful and the overall layout is thoughtful. The delivery crew was awesome! This very large model had to go inside the house into the pantry. Installation required removal of the door on the freezer and the door in the hall. The crew handled everything with ease of experience and absolutely protected the floors and everything else. I could not be happier with this purchase or the Best Buy store where I purchased it.

Great Freezer. Wonderful Upgrade!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We upgraded to this from our small chest freezer. It is nice to be able to find things without having to empty the freezer. The light is great and makes it easy to see everything in the freezer. I would like to have more door shelves but I saw in other reviews that you could order them online. I feel like i should be able to fit more things in this freezer than I can just based on the exterior size, but with the thicker wall insulation you can't, which I can understand since that will help everything stay cold for longer in case of a power outage. Other reviews stated that this freezer didn't last a long time so only time will tell for us since we just got this freezer a couple months ago.

Excellent Freezer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Frigidaire upright freezer prior to this one that was damaged when my basement flooded. I replaced it with this model, which is the same size as the first one but has the digital display and alarms if the temperature goes above freezing or the door is not properly closed. The freezer got cold very quickly when it was installed and has worked perfectly since I got it. The freezer is very spacious and has extra features, such as the place on the door where you can keep ice cream frozen but soft enough to scoop. Frigidaire has good customer service based on my experience with the damaged freezer.

A very good freezer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an above average upright freezer that does a great job at what it's supposed to do... freeze things! We love the space that's available and the shelving system is laid out nicely. The freezer has a great seal when you shut the door, probably the best we've seen of all the freezers we've ever had. The only complaint we have about the freezer is that it comes with three holders that you can put in the door to hold items. The door space, however is large enough to hold six of these holders; so unless you can find a way to get additional holders you end up with unused freezer space that you could put more items into.

Terrific upright freezer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This freezer is perfect and I would absolutely recommend it/buy it again if I ever needed to. Pros: -Holds a tight seal -Soft zone truly works to keep things frozen but not hard as a rock -Spacious layout and use of baskets/shelves allows for various uses -Digital display allows for precise temperature control -Functions so you never have to go through a full defrost cycle like the older freezers did Cons: -At times is louder than I'd like, but if it's in a garage or auxiliary room this isn't a big deal -The seal is sometimes too tight, so if you have to go into it multiple times in a short time frame, you have to press the seal open first before opening the door (this is a good thing, but annoying when you pull the door and can't open it) -- only an issue until the air has pressurized inside and the door is easy to open again

Good price performance ratio
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With only a few weeks usage, my wattmeter says it will consume 450KWH/year or slightly less which appears good for an upright. I put the wattmeter on it after it seemed it was running a large percentage of the time. Good sealing on the door. Can be hard to brake vacuum and get it open. The baskets under the shelves are nice, Decent shelf spacing allows densely packing goods. It seems odd there are no exterior cooling coils. Just the sides of the unit get warm to the touch. No way to level the rear footings. I must be old fashioned, but I'd have been as happy with wire mesh shelves. Worry the glass is going to break if hit too hard. Wish an additional door shelf was included.

Roomy Freezer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roomy and spacious, this freezer meets all my needs. I hate to grocery shop so when I go, I shop for 2-3 weeks. This freezer give me plenty of space for everything including door space and drawers. I love the digital read out on the exterior and and the extra strong seal since we keep the freezer in our Texas garage. And the temperature stays constant in spite of our heat! Two thumbs up!
