We originally bought this unit 3 years ago. Within the first 2 years, the washer went out. Geek Squad came out 3 times to 'fix' it but they either didn't have the parts or had the wrong parts. One guy stayed on the phone with Frigidaire over 2 hours trying to figure out the error code beeps, which they never could. Finally after 45 days (policy states 30 days to attempt to fix) they finally said that they would give us a replacement. We really loved this unit so of course we stuck with the same one.. I mean, Frigidaire is a household name that has always had good products... Right??
So that was July of 2017. We got our new unit and have been using it since. That is, until May 19th, when it started doing the exact same thing. Sooo here comes geek squad again.. First guy comes and works on it for about 2 hours then says the motor froze up and he needed to order another one. Makes an appointment for June 5th with us, then orders the motor. Geek Squad CS calls us on June 1st and says that there is a delay with getting the part in.. Well the motor was sitting in my dining room and I TOLD her this, but she insisted that there were parts that had not been processed and were delayed. We went back and forth and even though I had the information written down (by our geek squad repairman) that only 1 part was ordered, she would not allow us to keep June 5th and rescheduled us to June 14th. During this time, ANOTHER motor shows up at our door. So the 14th rolls around and the guy comes back and we notice that the motors are both DRYER motors, not washer motors. At this point I am just exasperated and really just want this to be over with. So he checks for the next available appointment while he is getting in touch with, I guess, his supervisor. The next appointment is not until June 28th which, by the way, is PAST their 30 days to attempt to fix the unit. He explains all of this to his supervisor who then goes ahead and approves for us to get a replacement.
So here we are on the 16th of June about to go and look at new units. I can guarantee it will not be a Frigidaire.
I really wish this would have turned out a lot different as we truly loved the unit when it worked. It was the perfect size, washed and dried well and had everything we needed and wanted.
My advice to you.. steer clear of this unit.. i can't say anything about other Frigidaire units, but this one is just not meant to last.
I do want to add that our repair guy Earl from the Best Buy on Katy Fwy in Houston Tx was awesome. He was understanding and was really pushing for us to get a replacement due to the lack of available appointments before the 30 days ran out.
