Fujifilm - FinePix S4530 14.0-Megapixel Digital Camera - Black

Yes, I'm one of those people who need to use something before I read instructions and I was able to take pictures immediately. Now when I find the time I will read about all the wonderful things I should be able to do with it. I usually take pictures on a whim and this is a good 'on a whim' camera. I love it!

I've had very good luck with fuji cameras and this is the best so far

The price (we got it on Cyber Monday) was unbelievably low, and we're delighted with the features. The 30x zoom is as pleasant to use as we expected, opening up the possibility of taking shots that were impossible with our older camera's 4x zoom. The fast shutter speed is also a very pleasant change from our older models. The extreme close-up setting works very well. The video is unexpectedly good and clear (as is the audio) on the HD setting. The built-in list of settings is long but often does not seem to produce the results we expect, especially with low-light photos. Attempting to get better low-light results with manual settings has not worked well either with the aperture and exposure settings evidently locked together in non-intuitive ways. That said, we are not serious photographers by any stretch of the imagination, so it may simply be our inexperience that's causing the trouble. In any case the low-light difficulties are a minor annoyance, and in general we are delighted with this camera.

Seriously love this camera! My Dad is a professional photographer & when I was looking for a new point & shoot camera, he suggested this one. I have been thrilled with it so far. I like all the different settings, but I also love that there is shutter speed priority, aperture priority & manual settings. I am an absolute beginner at manual stuff, so it's nice that they have those settings as well as all the different features to just point & shoot. It's a little big compared to the pocket size camera I'm used to it, but the quality of the photos definitely outweigh that. I think the only cons are that it takes AA batteries instead of rechargeable lithium, but it doesn't drain the batteries like I feared. The zoom is hard to get into focus when you're zooming really far in, but I haven't read the whole manual yet either. Lastly, the door to the battery compartment/sd card opens & closes a little rough. I've been concerned it will break, but so far it's holding up great. Overall, this camera is perfect for my needs & has been performing great with every day use. You can't beat the price. I'm impressed!

Have an older model Fugifilm Finepix S8100 that we have liked and takes great pictures (18X zm 10 pix) - wife tired of sharing her gift. The great price for this one with 30X zm and 14 pix beckoned to buy. I don't like the memory card slot being in the bat compartment and shutter seems a bit slow. Have not explored many features yet and understand the buttons. Menu selection needed to initiate some features-older model has a button for features right on the camera housing. Pics that I have taken appear sharper than the older model and I like the larger view window. Really like the 30X. Both of our Fujis have the optional eye view finder (like old 35mm SLR) which I prefer over using the view window for taking shots. Happened to have a large owl sitting it a tree 50 yrds from back door and neither camera flash reached to get the image.

I have used Fuji Finepix cameras for my ebay business for years. When I dropped my last one and broke the case, I went looking for an affordable replacement. This camera does the trick. Macro function is important for close-ups and I use it quite a bit. I am no pro and set it on AUTO. I get many compliments from the online community about the quality of my shots. It has to be the camera as it certainly is not based on any great skill that I possess. I ended up getting this camera as an open box buy for $97. With the case and card, it cannot be beat. Even at the listed price of $120.00, it is a great buy for those of us who do not know the basics of photography other than basic point and shoot. The only negative is the fact it takes 4 AA batteries but I have rechargeable batteries so no big issue for me.

I wanted a new camera for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. My camera they discontinued so it as hard finding the batteries needed and every camera I tried either would blur horribly when the subject moved, had a hard time focusing and snapping pictures in the dark or kept changing settings and wouldn't read it was actually needing to take shots in low light. I was so tired of spending money on cameras who could not live up to their promises. This camera does. I got great lowlight shots and it didn't blur on zoom. And it was the special of the day so I got it for $120. Excellent buy

This camera is very good so far.I have used it to take it couple of shots outdoor and it had come excellent. But when indoor photography is concerned it does not perform that well.When i tried to zoom an object it does not focus properly.But overall you get what you should get for the price.
