  • Key Specs
    • Image Sensor Size: APS-C (23.6 x 15.7 mm)
    • Effective Pixels: 40.2 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
    • Standardized Video Resolution: 6K (An approximated measurement of the product’s video resolution. This may not be the exact resolution of the product, which may be slightly more or less when using a pixel-by-pixel measurement.)
  • General
    • Brand: Fujifilm
    • Model Number: 16828686
    • Product Name: X-T50 Mirrorless Camera with XF16-50MMF2.8-4.8 R LM WR Lens
    • Color: Charcoal Silver
    • Digital Camera Type: Mirrorless Camera with Lens
  • Imaging
    • Image Sensor Type: CMOS (CCD and CMOS are the two main technologies used in image sensors. CCD, the older of the two types, turns analog light signals into digital pixels. This conversion happens without distortion, resulting in high-quality images. Newer CMOS sensors use transistors at each pixel to move electrical charges. CMOS sensors are typically less expensive, but also require more light to create distortion-free images.)
    • Image Sensor Size: APS-C (23.6 x 15.7 mm)
    • Image Resolution (Display): Approx. 1.84 million dots (Refers to the number of pixels, both horizontally and vertically, used to either capture an image or display it. The higher the resolution the finer the image details.)
    • Digital Zoom: None (A digital zoom is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution gained in the process. The existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.)
    • In-Camera Image Stabilization: true (This feature helps reduce image blurring from camera motion. In-camera stabilization means the image sensor itself moves to counteract detected motion.)
    • Image File Format(s): JPEG, HEIF, RAW, TIFF, DCF 2.0 (Standardized software format(s) of storing digital images. The type of format chosen for capturing and compressing the image can determine quality, level of detail, and storage space required.)
  • Focus
    • Autofocus: true (Allows the camera to automatically focus through the lens, rather than by adjusting the lens manually.)
    • Eye Autofocus (Eye AF): true (Automatically seeks out and focuses on the subject's eye and holds it as the camera and subject move and as the photographer shoots at high frame rates.)
  • Exposure Control
    • Shutter Speeds: [P mode]:4sec. to 1/4000sec., [A mode]:30sec. to 1/4000sec., [S/M mode]:15min. to 1/4000sec., [Bulb]:up to 60min. (The length of time the shutter remains open when the shutter release is activated, expressed in fractions of seconds. The longer the shutter is open, the more light that is able to be captured by the camera sensor.)
    • Minimum Aperture: f/22 (The smallest opening of a lens, typically expressed in f-numbers. The larger the number, the smaller the aperture and the less light that can enter the lens. A smaller aperture creates a larger depth of field, which keeps both foreground and background in focus.)
    • Maximum Aperture: f/2.8 (The limit to how wide a lens can be open, typically expressed in f-numbers. The smaller the number, the larger the aperture and the more light that can enter the lens. A larger aperture creates a shallower depth of field, helpful for keeping subjects in focus and blurring background details.)
    • Self Timer: true
    • Self-Timer Delay: 3 seconds, 10 seconds, 5 seconds
    • Effective Pixels: 40.2 megapixels (The actual number of pixels which make up the viewable image.)
  • Lens
    • Lens Type: Standard Zoom
    • Minimum Focal Length: 240 millimeters (The minimum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The shorter the focal length, the greater the area of scene captured.)
    • Maximum Focal Length: 94.5 millimeters (The maximum distance between the lens and the image sensor that allows the subject to be in focus. The greater the focal length, the smaller the area of scene captured.)
    • Lens Series: Fujifilm XF (The product group that the lens belongs to, based on similar shared features.)
    • Lens Model Number: 16814817
  • Flash
    • Flash Modes: Manual override (The flash feature emits light to increase the brightness of a subject in dimly lit environments. Common modes include Auto and Red-Eye Reduction.)
    • Integrated Flash: true
  • Video
    • Standardized Video Resolution: 6K (An approximated measurement of the product’s video resolution. This may not be the exact resolution of the product, which may be slightly more or less when using a pixel-by-pixel measurement.)
    • Video Resolution(s) and Frame Rate(s): [6.2K(16:9)]:File size]:6240 x 3510, [Frame rate]:29.97p/25p/24p/ 23.98p, [Bitrate]:360Mbps/ 200Mbps/ 100Mbps/ 50Mbps (Refers to the number of pixels, both horizontally and vertically, and the frame rate used to capture the video. The higher the resolution the finer the video detail that can be seen. The faster the frame rate the smoother the playback for higher motion activities like sports.)
  • Compatibility
    • Memory Card Compatibility: Secure Digital, Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC), Secure Digital Extended Capacity (SDXC) (The type of memory card(s) recommended for use with the product.)

    Best purchase

I had pre-ordered the X100VI, but with the long wait time, I did some research and ended up getting this one instead—and I have zero regrets. It’s basically like the X-T5 and X100VI had a baby: compact, powerful, and you can switch out the lenses. I own a Canon DSLR and a Sony mirrorless, but this is the one I reach for every time. It’s just so fun to shoot with! The new kit lens is also surprisingly amazing—worth every penny.

    It’s okay

This camera is okay. The motion. Feature sucks. It takes time to adjust on the object while moving. Should have got a SONY.

    Found my perfect camera!

Excellent everyday camera and perfect for travel. I add on a 27mm lens to make it extra compact, but even with the 16-50mm it is shockingly lightweight. I kept checking the case to make sure it was actually in there!
