At the time of this writing (day after Christmas 2015), no hope for a revival of the series is in sight. Last month, they announced a mobile game in development, last spring a Futurma and Simpsons crossover occurred, and 10 months ago Katey Sagal and Jon DiMaggio got our hopes up with blogs over fan support capable of reviving the series. We're ever vigilant and hopeful, but who knows. What I do know, is that you shouldn't pass up on the last volume of Futurama! Three of the episodes are probably the greatest of the newer seasons, and the rest all shine. Except for Forty Percent Leadbelly. I don't like Forty Percent Leadbelly. But I firmly vouch for the rest. As always, the continuity and throwbacks to earlier seasons are fantastically done. Game of Tones is up there with Jurassic Bark with the feels... The one episode that you need to see, even if you have to Hulu it, is Murder on the Planet Express. If you like Alien, or you've seen the Cowboy Bebop episode Toys in the Attic, it's that freaking good! Definitely my favorite of the season, and probably in my top three of the entire series. Ultra highly recommended. I recommend this volume as much as I'd recommend the first four.

A beautiful mess. Volume 7 is just kind of there. It's got great episodes, it's got OK episodes. By this point the writers and creators had their cadence back, and naturally, the studio started juggling it's future. 2-disc set, paper backing, 1080p presentation, 5.1 audio, convoluted pop-up menu that's kinda small...yada yada yada. If you don't know the specs by now, you read too many reviews and not enough details! Volume 7 has the distinction of making episodes that really have no plausible endings. Either a Deus ex Machina occurs, or they're just left hanging. This is not un-typical for the series, the early episodes don't always end on a definite answer, but when you watch the season you'll understand what I mean. There's also a lack of A and B plots, which are much better than A only plots, IMO. Even then, Futurama on a meh day >>> than other series on a good day. Highly recommended.

This is the final (?) incarnation of the Futurama tv series as broadcast first on the Fox network and it's most recent run on the Cartoon Network. You get a satisfactory ending of a great animated series. It being on cable as opposed to Fox expect a few more racy moments both in content and language but is still suitable for young kids if they can understand some of the references. Highly recomm ended for a final season. They put some of their best writing for the last season and a resolution to the series.

Futurama has long been one of my favorite animated series ever. A Matt Greoning production that finds its roots buried in The Simpsons, Futuramaquickly surpassed its predecessor in comedic value, plot, storyline and even character development. In ever way Futurama is/was one of the best shows to ever grace a television screen. This is supposedly the last season ever, so we give a heartfelt goodbye, but in the funniest way possible!

This show has defied all odds, and come back from death several times. But while this collection has episodes with some great moments, there are few that have a truly classic status. The exception would be episode 13, "Naturama." Each of the three acts is a mini episode sending up various nature shows, and the result is hilarity. But it might not be enough to justify a purchase.

Futurama was the 2nd Fox show from Simpsons creator Matt Groening. While the show has a real world (If you can call New New York a real world setting) setting, it has a lot in common with the Simpsons. The show was canceled twice only to be brought back however the 3rd cancellation is probably the nail in the coffin. The episodes are great and the characters are hilarious.

This show is still one of my all-time favorites, and it makes me sad to see it end. Not every episode is an absolute winner in this collection. That being said, I can't imagine a better ending to what is, in my opinion, the best animated comedy to ever be released to television.

I didn't think Futureama was going to keep it up humor wise, but it keeps the laughs rolling. It seems to have lost a little of its humor when it was on Fox, but now it's on Comedy Central, and I feel like you can feel a little bit of a change in the jokes. Still funny though!
