Good Quality Ok performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera feels solid and does work allot better than the no name camera it is replacing in my car. The GPS speed lags but seems accurate and the video quality leaves a little to be desired. The legibility of license plates is hit and miss. The camera does a series of beeps if you come too close to the car in front of you, this is a nice feature that I did not expect and it works well.

Small and unobtrusive dash camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Large screen for a dash camera but small size. It is mounted beside my rear view mirror but works very well there. Suggestion-buy a larger micro SD card than the 4 GB that came with it. Also have it professionally installed so all the wires are hidden.

Easy to use, simple to learn, robust features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Things people rag about are it not having audio recording, stick-on windshield fastener, and too short of a cable. Audio was not important to me. Stick-on bothered me at first but no longer; it actually gives it a much better low profile. A third party cable can overcome the short cable. It took a while for the negatives to disappear but you'll end up loving it.

Best Pic quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did lots of research before I purchased this. Ideal for people who do lots of driving. This cam does not fail even when it's hot, however what I do is to put AC towards the unit so it does not overheat. You can see every detail well on the video recording.

Great Dash Camera - Easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera was super easy to use right out of the box. I went with Garmin because I was familiar with the brand name. The compact size of the camera and the LCD display make it very nice looking and functional. After my first drive with it I decided to disable the forward collision warning because it seemed a little sensitive and I didnt want to mess with the settings. It does a great job with " incident detection" if I hit a large bump or decelerate quickly it automatically saves that video. There have already been 2 software updated to it since I got it which I l like and means its not a piece of " forgotten hardware" by Garmin. When viewing footage on the computer its shows you your location on a map, speed etc which is helpful. Overall I would recommend this camera for anyone wanting to document daily driving or get a cool new device!

Excellent dash cam features and quality for price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dash cam provides nearly all the features one would look for in a device designed for driver safety. The display can be set to dim or stay live. On the display bottom, and display recording, are the date and time, gps location and vehicle speed. Essential if being used in defense of your driving. The dash cam also provides collision avoidance that can be adjusted to your liking and a red light camera notification. The greatest feature I found was the recording. When I press the video record button, the dash cam records the previous 1 1/2 minutes and continues to record for an additional 1 1/2 minutes. This does create a rather large mp4 file around 180MB but can be easily edited. There is also a snapshot button that allows pics to be taken for additional accident information. A suction cup holder would be nice if it were included but the unit does come with an adhesive mount. Also the SD card is only 4GB which can record two events without overwriting. I drive semi over the road, which can be rough, but the image quality is excellent. I can take the SD card and insert in my tablet and view the video with no additional software. I can pause the video and pinch zoom to read license plates. Can't ask for anything more!

Garmen Dash recorder is really a good product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a dash recorder before, but it did not last long, so we researched other recorders before we bought another one. The Garmen Dash Recorder 35 GPS is really great. It not only records, but it lets you know if you are to close to other traffic. And it is a GPS as well. The video is very clear, and we are having great results with it. It gives you a complete record of where you have been in your vehicle, and great record if you have an accident. .It is also small enough to fit on your front window without causing obstruction to your driving, and it is like having a second pair of eyes on your driving, and that of others around you, to insure your safety and theirs.

So far good value for the money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this unit from many others for it's screen size, on board power and 12volt charger. II have an older Garmin GPS that has held up extremely well so I'm placing my trust in the brand on this one. Hooked to PC the video's were impressive for the size of the unit. I was not expecting them to be as clear as they are. Only down side so far is the adhesive mount - that is unacceptable! Took my Garmin GPS suction mount, and used it. Problem with that is the shaft and ball angle is such that they show up in the top left of he video. It doesn't block the view too bad but it's not ideal. They don't have a replacement suction cup mount available to buy. Second is the software you can download from their site. Looks like a nice "dashboard", but takes forever to download and open the videos..native video player in Windows lets you do pretty much the same thing as their software with no delays..that's a bit strange...overall, pretty good buy.

Q: QuestionNo sound recording for additional evidence and no suction cup mount for portability?
Asked by Trucker Bob.
- A:Answer Trucker Bob- The American version of the Dash Cam 35 does not allow audio recording (but the European version does). But you don't want conversations and cell call communications recorded as part of your video. Liability issues is on you. What if you are on your cell phone, being recorded on a dash cam, and you are in an accident. In the state or local municipality you are in, it may be illegal to be talking on a phone while driving. And even it is not, how do you think a plaintiff's attorneys will feel when he finds out you have a video and audio of your accident, in which you are on the phone. The firm mount is to the unit will be be dislodged in the event of a collision. If you need portability, for $199, just purchase another unit.
