This is the perfect watch for me - I'd been wanting an Apple Watch for a while but held off because of the bad reviews and I'm glad I did. As I got more into running again, I wanted to replace my old Garmin FR 305 and after reading the reviews and listening to some advice from my dad I went for the FR 230 and haven't looked back. The battery life is incredible (lasts at least a week including 3 runs a week), the gps picks up immediately - both things the FR 305 struggled with. Also the smart watch functionality is perfect for me - tracks your steps and movement and you can set your phone notifications to come through as well which is great for me to screen emails, text and phone calls. Basic stuff but it does it all well. The only downside to this watch is the sleep tracker which is completely useless but I don't care about that. I would thoroughly recommend this watch to anyone - it's an incredible gps watch and if you want basic smart watch functionality too then this is the watch for you.

I been using this watch for two months and am quite happy with it. Its very light, GPS finds signal in a matter of seconds, sometimes I wear it in one wrist and my Polar M400 on the other and the readings are almost the same, very easy to use, haven't had a problem with phone connection, screen is visible on both daylight and nighttime, it can be used as an activity tracker but mainly it only keep track of steps. Even though it has a cycling and swimming sport profiles it doesn't do anything more than keeping track of time, pace, distance, heart zone on bike (and you need to have a bike computer if you want more accurate readings) not on swimming. I think those two sport profile are almost useless this is a running watch not a multi sport one. Notifications are nice and easy to read, screen is not as bright or colorful as the pictures show but is ok enough. Overal is a good watch although I wish I had bought it on Black Friday and not at regular price, it's all plastic, it almost looks like a toy watch. Again this mainly a ruining watch for beginners, not for serious marathoners or tri sport persons. If your are looking for a multi sport watch or a watch that would give you extensive running dynamics, you better look some where else.
