Great Fitness Tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from an entry level tracker. The Vivosmart HR is comfortable to wear. The only time I take it off is to shower & charge it. Otherwise I wear 24/7. The heart rate seems to be accurate. I regularly compare to the heart rate monitors on elliptical at gym. They are normally within 1-2 beats of Vivosmart. I really like the intensity tracking feature. It challenges me to exceed the weekly target. I have it paired with my fitness pal app to track calories. It needs to be recharged every 5 days. The battery icon comes on to let me know it needs to be charged. I am very happy with this device. I like the notification & weather features.

Recommend for Fitness!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have researched different activity trackers for one year! The Garmin Vivo HR definitely has everything that I need and that I was looking for! I love the big screen, adjustable straps, vibrate alarm to alert you to move, or to wake up!! And it has a backlight! Easy to connect through Bluetooth. I love that it monitors my sleep. The heart rate monitor is accurate at rest. I did check my heart rate after a workout and it is accurate- it was off by 1-2 beats. My heart rate was 160 but the monitor was at 159 --not bad. At least it did not over estimate. The app had some Glitches, but it is fixed. Garmin customer service is great and so is geek squad. I do recommend you putting a wrist sweat band like under armor over it if you are going to weight lift or work With Dumbbells and it can hit the screen. I did call Garmin- They say it's A pretty strong durable screen. I did recommend them to Come out with a protector for it, just in case. Last but not least it is water resistant. You can swim and shower with it- but I have not yet. I take it off During those times to charge it. The battery life if pretty good. I don't have to charge it everyday. It was a week before I had to charge it! I was amazed. If you are looking for a good Garmin for fitness this is a great tracker. For serious runners- look into the other Garmin models! I'm not a serious runner so I chose the more affordable Garmin! I'm so happy they came out with this one. I was not a fan of the heart rate monitor strap and it was Ridiculously expensive! That's why I love this tracker!!

Loving my Garmin
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it. I have no issues with it. I originally purchased the Samsung band because my sister loves hers and it was on sale for half the price during Thanksgiving. However, I have a Droid Razr I got almost 2 years ago (contract up in March) and the Samsung band just didnt give me full features because I dont have the official Samsung app. Never the less, I sold it to my friend and went and got this one. I downloaded the app with ease (it automatically updated the software upon connection). Set up was simple. Make sure you wear it right behind the wrist bone as instructed and it tracks my heart rate just fine. The "move" feature is nice. Reminds me to get up and move. My text messages come through great even when I am on the other side of my office building. So, no issues with Bluetooth. I plan on getting the new Droid phone in March and I suspect I will not have any issues setting it up. I like that it connects to my fitness pal and the cross over is great. This band sets obtainable goals. I have not been reaching my step goal everyday and it has been decreasing the step goal so I can have an obtainable goal. I suspect it will increase once I start reaching it. The sleep monitoring is working great. you dont have to tell it when you go to sleep or when you wake up. The times are marking on point. I havent had any issues with the band. I did put it on too tight at first and it made my wrist sore. So I loosed it one notch and its perfect. I have no reaction to the band as far as a rash. My friend I sold the Samsung band to got a rash from it. I got the purple band. Its such a dark plum color that some people think its black. but the color comes through depending on what color I wear. At least its not an obnoxious color. Guess its personal preference. You cant change the band on these and it is limited in colors but I dont mind. Overall its exactly what I wanted and is keeping me mindful of my activity. I would definitely recommend to someone who has a Droid phone and wants these features. Not sure how well it works with apple. I would definitely recommend the Samsung band to those with a Samsung phone. It has cool features like color and reply texts but not good for any other phone.

pretty good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a fitness racker that would meet all of my need for a good price. this was on sale for 100$ and I had a my bestbuy rewards so i used it as well. At first I could not decide between the fitbit charge 2 and this tracker for several reasons. I purchased the fitbit tacker for my husband and I wanted to go with that but I think that after doing some research this was a better fit for me. Pros: the screen is always lit so i don't need to tap on it unless it s dark. 2. I am able to get notifications on my tracker besides just txt msgs like the fitbit does. I can get emails, calls (i can reject or answer call through garmin tacker) calendar notifications, Facebook too. anything you will get on your phone your tacker will notify you. I have an iPhone and some stuff is limited as in, if you don't want Facebook alert on your tacker well you would need to take the notification on your phone off to to stop receiving alerts on tacker. 3.this tracker fits my wrist. I have a small wrist and have found this to fit me better. i wear it 2 inches away from my wrist bone.I have found this to be the most comfortable spot to wear it. the circumference of the area i wear it is 5 13/16. i wear it tight but not too tight. I still have 2 little holes showing. (dunno if that makes sense) 4.I can see the weather forecast which is great for me. 5. i can set an alarm to help me wake up in the morning. 6. it tracks my sleep and i an see results on my phone like when i was in deep sleep and lite sleep, also when i was awake. I purchased this so that i could know how many calories i burned lifting weights and found after having this tracker i have pushed myself to do cardio in between sets so that i can burn more calories and take more steps. 7. it has a screen to show you how many minutes a week you have trained intensely which i love because it makes me push myself harder when i workout. Cons: While this tracker does have and alarm, you can only program one alarm at a time and it only gives you the option for weekdays or the whole week. i wasn't too happy about this but if you have the garmin connect app on your phone you can just keep changing alarms. 2. theres a screen where you can control the music thats playing on your phone but i could not get it to work. apparently it only works with your iTunes music if you have an iPhone. i read that you have more options on a android phone but I don't know if that works since i don't have an android. i play my music through pandora and it didnt work. 3.when you are tracking a workout and decide to pause it, lets say your are running and theres a red light, you need to be careful that nothing touches to screen or the option of deleting your workout of saving it can be pressed. had that happen a few times. 4. there have been a few times where the weather app and the notification app are not connected for maybe a couple of hours If you connected your tracker with the app you can customizes a few things like your goals and which screens you wanna be able to see. You can adjust your stride and heart rate zones for more accurate readings as well. Overall Im happy with my purchase and I'm thinking about getting the garmin scale now that i have this tracker.

Great item. Better than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I reviewed many different items and this was the best. I have to agree with the reviews. It has lived up to all my expectations. It is water proof when many of the others are not. I've worn it everyday since purchasing it and glad I chose this one over any of the others. I like the app and the my fitness app which is very accurate. I bought two of them. One for me and my wife whom is a personal trainer. She and I both love it and have tried others. We'd both but it again.

Garmin
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it for my girlfriend, she loves hers. She likes it better than Fitbit cause it is water resistant up to 30 feet. The battery last for five days, you will need to charge on the fifth day. It tracks her sleep, running and steps. You can get email, heart rate, text message and weather and calls.

Top of the line health tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Garmin Activity tracker does everything and then some! Heart rate, steps, stairs, calories and all of the usual health tracking options you expect. Then on top of that, you can read your texts, get Facebook notifications, page your phone when it's misplaced, view weather and on and on and on! Basically if it's something on your smartphone, you can view it through this Garmin tracker! Also the accuracy seems to be right on with your health stats. Absolutely love it!! The only negative thing about it is, sometimes while sleeping I hit it and the automatic light comes on and wakes me. I wish there was an option to turn the light off completely. BUT that only happens occasionally and is worth wearing it at night to track my sleep.

Good product but bulky
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great fitness tracker. I really only have two issues with it and I am still on the fence about whether or not I am going to keep it since I already have an Apple Watch, it's extremely bulky and it makes my sensitive skin itch even more sometime when I wear it. When I wear one of my winter coats it gets caught on the sleeve all the time because it is so bulky. I do however like how you can choose from several different colors and all the different things that the watch tracks.

Q: QuestionDoes it track and record your sleeping?
Asked by amy.
- A:Answer Yes. You have to set your normal sleep timeframe into the settings & it will track your sleep. It doesn't track naps during the day though. I have an odd schedule right now so I usually sleep 4 hours when I get home from work & then another 2-3 hours before going back into work & it will track one of those times for sleep but not both for the same day. Ive included a screenshot of a normal nights sleep I got so you can see it.

Q: QuestionWhat about sea water and hot tub? Will the vivosmart be resistant to sea water for my swimming workout? Is it also resistant to hot water (104F)?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I don't know about sea water, but I do wear it in the pool when I'm swimming and it's fine. Even gives heart rate while swimming.

Q: Questionwill this watch monitor your activity in real time so you can see the data on the watch without syncing
Asked by Joey.
- A:Answer Yes, as an activity tracker it will always be measuring your steps, distance, floors climbed, active intensity, heart rate and calories burned which can be viewed at any time. You also have the option to record individual activities that can be synced separately for review later. -LB

Q: QuestionHow does it track the HR?does it track the HR on the wrist or does it have to be connected to the chest?
Asked by seadream2000.
- A:Answer It's actually measured from the wrist so no annoying chest band!
Answered by Havoc
Q: QuestionHow does this look and fit on a medium sized female wrist?Does this look like a man's device being worn by a woman, or is is truly unisex in appearance? In other words, is it bulky and obtrusive when worn by the ladies? Can ladies wear it in comfort?
Asked by PGJU.
- A:Answer I am petite (5' 1", 120 lbs, small frame) and I felt it looked slightly too large on me - it was more obvious than, say, a large watch in my opinion. I was willing to overlook that, however the inaccuracy of the step counting (adding thousands of steps while a passenger in a car) made me return it.
Answered by Gnatsmom
Q: QuestionHow do you charge the battery? To charge do you need to purchase extra cords and plugs or is that included in the purchase price.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer no extra cords needed. charging cable comes in the package.

Q: QuestionCan this be charged using a USB wall charger?I have wondered why these devices specify "charge using your computer" but none say it's ok to plug into a USB wall charger. I used the wall charger with my Fitbit and the thing never charged or worked right. I don't know if the device was defective or if it was because I used the USB wall charger. At any rate, I like the Vivosmart and want to make sure using the USB wall charger will not negatively affect the functionality of the device. Thank you.
Asked by TCol10.
- A:Answer It comes with a USB charger. I have no problems charging from the wall

Q: QuestionDoes The display show information vertically and horizontallyhi I want to know does it show the information the right way for hand wrist or do I have to turn my head as some picture show that the text can be show vertically ,
Asked by amro.
This question was asked about the related product: Garmin - Vivosmart HR Activity Tracker + Heart Rate - Blue
- A:Answer Yes, the vívosmart HR has options to change the orientation along with changing the screen based on the wrist it is being worn on. With the "Screen Orientation" option, you can select from a horizontal or vertical orientation. It also has an option called "Wrist Worn On", in the Device Settings, to customize which wrist the band is worn on. {CW}
