I wanted a G.E. refrigerator because my past experience with their appliances has been very good. My old refrigerator was almost 18 years old and still worked but the seal needed replacing plus I thought by getting an energy star rated refrigerator I would see a decrease in electric bills. Granted I have only had the refrigerator three weeks but I have reviewed the electricity usage and it is the same. The overall size of the new refrigerator is larger than my previous refrigerator but the interior space is much smaller. The design of the crispers is such that less storage space is available. It is nice that the crisper doors are clear so you can easily see what fruit and vegetables you have but that is a very minor convenience. I enjoy having a light in the freezer but agan that is a minor convenience. I am having to learn to buy smaller bottles of juice, etc. since the space between the shelves is less. Since I have not seen a reduction in electric usage, and I seem to have less space than miy old refrigerator, I wish I had the old unit back... But, if you find that a 20 cubic inch refrigerator suits your needs, I highly recommend making your purchase from Best Buy. I compared prices with Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears--Best Buy promised to match anyone else's pricing, they offered free delivery, free pick-up of the old refrigerator, and a 30-day trial period at no additional charge. If you check, you will find the other retailers either charge for delivery, haul away of old appliances and I found no other retailer that offered a free trial period. Additionally, when I found a better price elsewhere, Best Buy honored their promise of matching the price but also offered an additional discount because I charged the refrigerator on my Best Buy card. After doing my homework regarding comparison shopping, I believe I made the wisest choice by purchasing the refrigerator from Best Buy!

I am returning this fridge because I do not prefer to store milk in the door and if you configure the shelves to accommodate higher items there is no space between other shelves. If you like to put milk in the door, I guess it would be OK. The crisper bins are very deep and that takes away from having the height between the shelves. The bins are very sturdy tough, the best quality than any other I looked at. I had an older Kitchenaid that had more usable space. It had temp controls listed in the specs, but only has one control for both fresh food and freezer. I did not like this feature.
