Q: QuestionThe picture doesn't show a thru the door dispenser. the specs say there is one. GE info says there's internal dispenser but the inside pic doesn't show one. I don't want to order this If there's thru the door dispenser. The specs & pictures contradict.
Asked by Nana.
- A:Answer Dear Nana - this is Nancy at GE Appliances regarding a new refrigerator. This is a very nice model. It does not have the external ice and water dispenser. It offers an internal water dispenser. If you are facing the refrigerator with the doors open, the internal dispenser is on the left wall, but it is difficult to see in the photo. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

Q: QuestionDoes the ice tray slide out automatically when the freezer door is opened?
Asked by Alan.
- A:Answer No. You have to pull it out. The annoying part is that the ice cubes fall behind the freezer drawer and into the bottom of the freezer. You have no way of getting them out.

Q: QuestionIs the ice also filtered in this model? Currently have a Samsung fridge, and both water and ice use the filter (essential as our water taste is terrible).

Q: QuestionLike this refrigerator, but aren’t sure if it’ll fit our opening, exactly 33” wide! Can’t modify the opening width because of the electric panel on one side and kitchen cabinets on the other. No problem being able to open the doors all the way. Thanks!
Asked by Debinusa.
- A:Answer It is 32.75 inches wide with doors closed so it should fit in your 33” opening. However, what you need to check is the depth in the opening so that you would be able to open the doors. This fridge is listed at 35” depth and our opening is 24 inches deep and allows for plenty of room for opening the doors. You need to measure height, width and depth then compare to the specs listed for any refrigerators you are considering. Note that this refrigerator also has a bulky hinge for opening the doors at the top of the fridge which obstructs up to about a foot from the front of the fridge at the top. Measure, measure, and measure then measure again.

Q: QuestionIs there an ice maker and where is it!
Asked by Taky.
- A:Answer Yes, there is an ice maker. The mechanism that makes the ice is very small in the back of the freezer and does not take up any space. There is a bin that fills with ice in the top drawer of the freezer on the left side. I absolutely love it. I use ice many times throughout the day. I feel like new ice is made quickly. In case you are unaware, this refrigerator also has a water dispenser on the wall of the fridge just inside the left door. I would highly recommend this refrigerator.

Q: QuestionOn average, how often does the water filter need to be replaced and how do I know if it needs to be replaced? Also, where can I purchase the filter?
Asked by HeatherMac.
- A:Answer Recommend every 3-months or 300 gallons filtered, whichever comes first. You can order (and is highly recommended) from the manufacturer as 3rd party/aftermarket are not guaranteed and voids your warranty.
