GE - 30" Built-In Electric Cooktop - Black on Black

A stovetop in my price range wasn't on display so I was shown a black & white catalog which described the product and offered pictures. As you can imagine, a black stovetop does not show its details in a black and white picture. Basically, you're looking at a picture of a black rectangle and it's impossible to determine the size of the elements. However, since I was replacing a similar GE stovetop, I bought the product unseen. Everything works fine except the elements are too small to fit a larger pan. Other than that, it's a good value but if I were to do it again, I would pay a hundred dollars more to get one with larger elements.

I love the 2 larger power boils rings & the 2 melting options on this cooktop. It boils water for spaghetti quickly. It looks absolutely beautiful when its clean. The only thing I'm changing is the knobs to something a little more fancier. My kids know when it hot because the indicator light stays on until it is completely cool.

this cooktop is working well. its appearance is very attractive and its price is very reasonable. It matches my other cooking ware in my kitchen. Its functions are very interesting and fits in my needs. It needs only very minor cleaning after every cook. I like to use this product. It is very easy to operate this product.

Needed to replace an older stove, and this one fit the space nicely. Came with the wires, so no need to buy a plug. It was a little smaller than the GE we replaced, but fit the space fine. Was able to hook it up myself within an hour. Exactly what we needed.

We needed a quick fix for an old electric stove. It fits the space and was very easy to install on my own. Works great. When we get around to remodeling the kitchen I will look at other surface-types. This one needs some extra effort (not much) to clean.

Clean cut design, a perfect swap for your old unit. Best Buy price matched me on this and I could not be happier with the price and the quality. The power boil is so fast, water boils very quickly. Caution with the hot surface afterwards. Special lights indicate which boiler is hot on surface.

Lasted only 15 months, then the whole unit shorted out. If you purchase anything GE, you will need the extended warranty. Seems to hold true for my last 2 GE appliances. Would put extra money into a better brand next time. In next 48 hours in my case.
