The cooktop works fine, but the stainless steel accents on the front and back of the cooktop are easily scratched with normal use. The day we had the cooktop installed we used it to cook our dinner. We immediately noticed that our pans caused scratches on the stainless steel. The scratches have gotten more numerous the more we use the cooktop. I would definitely not buy this cooktop with the stainless steel accents again!

This product is reasonably priced and I didn't have any problem installing it by myself. The only issue is that it makes sound when I turn it on/off, but I can't find setting to reduce a volume.

I had a GE Profile before. From the description, it looked like I didn't need those few extra features, so I picked the standard GE. No store carried this model for me to actually see, so I bought it online, sight unseen. The printing/lettering is so faint and hard to read, I always have to use the overhead light to use the cooktop. Very annoying. There are a few things I liked on the Profile that aren't on the standard cooktop.
