It almost requires us to get on our knees to see what's broiling. Also - the installer didn't do a great job. I had to call PG&E to stop the gas leak because they didn't install the gas kit, which I paid for. I sent an email to the rep Malachi.Reed@pacificsales.com requesting a refund and still have not heard back from him.

very good gas range
|Posted .This GE gas range works wonderfully well! The electric ignition for both the top burners & the oven get the gas going quickly, the oven preheats in only about 4 minutes. I definitely recommend it. ( be sure to keep your old broiler pan because for 10 years most brands don't have a new one)

Q: QuestionCould you tell me the estimated time that this oven would preheat? My grandmother is saying that hers is taking almost 25 minutes from the moment she turns the oven on to when the beep says the oven is at the appropriate temperature? Is this normal?

Q: QuestionIn my new JGBS60DEKWW a 10 inch or so metal rod protrudes straight out from the upper left oven wall. What is that? My old XL44 had something similar but was was flat against the oven wall. When is the gas on/off switch located within the oven?

The part number that is connected to that part for your particular model is: WB20K10015. As for the gas valve, which control the on/off flow of gas, it is normally located in the rear of the range.
