Q: can the racks be left in the oven during self clean?
A: Hi curious- The range is not equipped with self-clean racks. Nickelplated (silver) racks should not remain in the oven during the self clean cycle. Doing so will tarnish the racks and may become difficult to slide. If desired, Self-Clean Oven Racks (3 pk) for Select 30" Free-Standing Gas Ranges JXRACK3G can be purchased online: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/ge-oven-rack-for-ranges-silver/5707583.p?skuId=5707583 - Keep in touch! Q: Can you put the stove grates in the oven to self-clean instead of using soap and water? thank you!
A: Hi Carol- Good question; All grates without bumpers (including flat-wire grates) can be cleaned in a self-clean oven. Current 2017 gas ranges models (including free-standing, slide-ins and drop-ins) now have self-cleanable grates. refer to page 24 of the Use and Care for grate cleaning tips: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-85220-2.pdf Hope this helps; Thanks for asking! A: Hi - The oven is cleaned by heat, at temperatures above normal cooking temperatures. No water or cleaners required. During the cleaning cycle the oven is heated to about 880 degrees Fahrenheit (471° C.). At this temperature, food soils inside the oven decompose, leaving behind a small amount of ash. The leftover ash is similar to cigarette ashes, and wipes out easily with a wet cloth. See page 18 of the Use and Care Guide for complete details: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-2000316-1.pdf - Keep in touch! Sue
A: Delivery with installation of propane conversion kit was $249.99. Haul away of old range $39.99
Q: Does the oven light come on automatically when opening the door?
A: No. You have to use button on top control panel.
Q: Does this gas range include a propane conversion kit? Assume oven is also gas, not electric, right?
A: Hi there, 1Bob - Great question! Yes, this range comes with an LP conversion kit and the oven is gas. The conversion instructions are located in the wiring diagram (mini-manual) and are included with the LP kit attached to the appliance near the pressure regulator. We recommend a qualified installer or servicer convert the gas range to the proper gas supply needed. Thanks so much for checking! -Mikayla
