Q: How long is the cord? Will this protect a Samsung 4k 65" and a blue ray player with sound system?

You will know that protection is no longer being provided to your connected devices whenever the protected indicator light on the surge protector shuts off. A: Hello Dorothy, thank you for your question. When the outlets rotate, they do not allow you to plug anything into them. The outlets need to stay oriented the same way they are in the picture in order for you to use them. When they are rotated the other way, they will be locked as a safety feature and this allows more room for adapters.
