Great product
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This is a great product and works as intended by Google and by switch. Had a problem with install call c by GE switch hotline they stayed on the phone me for an hour and a half because my wiring was wrong in the wall. We got it working I’m totally amazed with the customer service I received . Also if you’re replacing a three-way switch which is operated with two switches on either side of the wall you need 2 switches .

Great Dimmer Switch for GE Bulbs
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I've have 2 C by GE bulbs in my bedroom for a little while. I can adjust their brightness, change the color temp, and turn them on and off without getting out of bed. The downside to all of that is it goes away as soon as you flip the actual light switch off. This dimmer switch solved that issue for me. Installation was pretty straightforward, though the backside of the switch was a lot bigger than the standard light switch I was replacing. I had to get creative pushing the wires around, but I did get it to fit (though it was a bit snug). Setup through the app was also pretty simple. It found the switch automatically and guided me through the setup. I was able to select my 2 GE bulbs and group everything into a single entity in the app. The switch can also control regular dimmable and non-dimmable bulbs. After I got everything setup I didn't have any issues at all. I can use my light switch now and still control my lights from my phone or through Google Assistant. The one thing I do wish I could control is the brightness of the light on the switch itself - it's a bit bright when the room is completely dark. It can be turned off in the app, but I wish I could just dim it a little bit. Other than that I have no complaints about this switch and would recommend it especially if you're going to pair it with C by GE bulbs.

Great potential, poor execution
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I bought this switch because i had great success woth their lights. I wired this switch in to control 4 canless LED lights on my basement. The instal went fine, and I had no issue connecting them to my wifi and the app. That's when thing got weird. Every time I open the app, it shows the lights are off regardless if they are on or off. Controlling them by the app works fine. More oftebn than not, when i turn the lights off, they will randomly turm back on atbtheir dimmest setting. I haven't fogured out a rhyme or reason for this. At first I thought it may be because the switch was on my IoT network, but it still happened after i switched it to my regular network. I went ahead and bought another brand to see if I would have any better luck.

What we recommend is checking the bulb type that you have set in your switches settings in the Cync app. Ensure that it is set to the proper type for your bulbs. If your bulbs are experiencing issues we recommend resetting them by using these steps: Start with the light off for at least 5 seconds. Turn on for 8 seconds. Turn off for 2 seconds. Repeat this process 5 more times, or until the light bulb flashes. If this issue persists please contact us at 1-844-302-2943. -Cync Support Team

Challenging to install and setup but great results
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I purchased 3 of these switches to replace my 4 way switches in my basement utility room. These switches along with a Ring camera in the same area allow me to monitor this space from anywhere. I really like the way this works although the wiring and setup were a challenge, however the tech support at GE were very helpful to first determine which switches I needed, what lamps to use, and how to wire the switches and setup the app to run everything,

Smart dimmer switch
||Posted .Owned for 5 months when reviewed.Works as advertised. I am still using an app on my phone to control the lights, so I can't speak to how well it will work when I integrate it to use with Google home. I was disappointed to find that you have to have 2 of this switches to make it work on a three way light switch system, so only giving it a 4 for that reason.

Challenging Set Up But Works Great Once Installed
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I have set up and installed about 15 of these switching throughout my house. Set up using the C by GE app is a bit of a pain and fails frequently. But in general, the C by GE app is absolutely garbage. I only use the app for updating firmware. Once you get past set up, the switches work great with Google Home. Stick with your Google Home app for all controls and the switch works great.

Q: QuestionDoes the switch need a separate app to work or is it Made for Google certified meaning it can work with the Google home app out of the box?

- A:Answer The switch needs to be setup in the C by GE app. After that you can connect your C by GE account to Google Home and control it from the Home app or by voice.

Q: QuestionI bought a GE Smart switch, the on/off 3 wire 3 way switch. My lights flicked, and my bulbs are incomparable with the Adapter that came with the 3 wire switch, My question is , if I get the 4 wire- 3 way dimming switch do I need the adapter

- A:Answer Hi Mitch. The socket adapter fits medium base lighting fixtures and only applies to our 3-wire Switch when using low wattage LED loads. If you home electrical system has a Neutral feed, then the 4-wire Switch can be utilized without the need for the socket adapter. Q: QuestionDo you have to use GE bulbs for this switch to work. I want to time my porch light and coach light. I want to add another switch for my up light. I bought a 4 gang plate that has 2 flip and 2 rocker openings. Will this work?

- A:Answer You do not need to use GE bulbs. Any bulb should work. However, you will need a dimmable bulb to use the dimming function. Need more information on your other question. If you plan to have 4 switches, you will need a four gang box. The faceplate depends on the type switches in the box.
