This microwave replaces a previous GE microwave. The two work very similarly, The major difference is the cooking time needed. My older GE JPB79 seemed more powerful than this one although both have the same 1000 watt power rating. I'm not the only one who has noticed this as my brother also replaced an older GE microwave this year and discovered the same thing. Otherwise it is easy to use and has all the features I want. I love that it syncs to my GE range so the time is always the same. It also looks beautiful.

Having had problems with a Whirlpool m/w, I decided to try a GE Profile. The guy who installed it for BB was the best tech I have ever seen. (Mike) Not only did he (by himself) remove the Whirlpool, but he then installed the new GE......when it didn't start up, he troubleshot the connection and immediately was able to fix it. Really awesome! Will have to buy a new stove so will be definitely requesting him to do the installation.

Overall OK, but would have preferred to have a number pad for time. You have to use a dial, and it is cumbersome at best. The microwave, other than that has worked fine.
