Matches nicely with the other Profile appliances in my house. Auto-fill is not always reliable, as it sometimes overfills the cup. Auto-fill also takes time to think before filling, which I see as a negative. It is nice that the 30-second door left open alarm can be shut off on this model. I was surprised to see that the sides are NOT stainless, but rather black, since I was unable to see them in the store. I'm not thrilled with how quickly it gets messy from fingerprints.

It’s ok. The Black stainless steel shows no fingerprints at all that part is awesome. Delivery from Best Buy was not so great the delivery man wouldn’t put the shelves in or do anything to the refrigerator. Which is kind of crappy because you have to pay for it.

GE Profile appliances (in black stainless) are on major back order…took me 7 months to receive my refrigerator. Overall I like the fridge, but it’s definitely not fingerprint resistant. Storage capacity is nice, and it looks great! We had a minor leak issue with the door that the ice maker is in for the first few weeks…would leak a small amount of water onto the floor when opening, but that seems to be resolved now. Only time will tell!

I’ve had it for about four months and so far so good. It is a little noisier than our old fridge just the humb of the system. Also the auto fill water dispenser does not work very well. It requires a specific size does cup or container so the sensors fill it to the top otherwise the sensors fill them halfway or less. I would suggest getting a fridge with one that allows you to choose how many ounces to pour

The ice maker is only big enough to hold about 10 ice cubes, so anytime you have more than 2 people in the house that want ice, make sure you go buy a bag and keep it in the freezer.

Reviews online lowered their rating because they though it was noisy - not the case. Had a 2008 GE Profile and it's noise level was about the same. Lots more room for a packaged that fits in the same space as our old Frig.

QuestionHello, this question goes out to GE or anyone who might know. Does this model or any GE model refrigerator use a linear compressor? I've heard that GE appliance's parent company invented the invert linear compressor, so I thought it might've passed down.

- Answer Hi Jerry- Thanks for viewing our GE Profile Series! As of January 1994, all GE branded refrigerators moved from a rotary compressor to a reciprocating compressors. Additionally, none of our refrigerators use linear (inverter) compressors. A reciprocating compressor, also known as a Scotch Yoke compressor, is designed to give years of reliable service. The main component of a refrigerator is the compressor so high quality is very important. This type of compressor consists of a reciprocating piston operating in a stationary cylinder. QuestionFor model PFE28KSKSS, how much cold water is stored? How big is the water tank?

- Answer Hi Mike - Bottom freezer and French door refrigerators have a water reservoir coil in the fresh food section that holds 12 - 24 oz. of water (PFE28KSKSS 12 oz). The water is chilled and stored until it is needed. Since the reservoir is in the fresh food section, the water will not be ice-cold. The first time the dispenser is used, the chilled water lever may need to be pressed for two to three minutes to fill the reservoir for the first time. It takes approximately seven seconds to fill an eight ounce glass with water. After the 12 oz. of cold water is dispensed, any additional water dispensed will not be chilled until the water in the coil tubing has had time to chill again. Thanks for choosing GE Profile! Sue
