My salesman ordered the wrong range but I found that mistake before it was delivered and he ordered the right one. He was very cooperative. My correct model is PGB940SEJ6SS. I used my old Montgomery Wards gas range for 49 years which could be a record of some kind so it took a lot to tell it goodbye, Overall I'm pleased with my new range. The oven temperature is spot on with everything I've baked in it so I'm happy I haven't had to make adjustments for my 60+ years of collected recipes. I haven't done any convection cooking in it yet but I assure you I will. The only complaint I have about my new range is that the control panel buttons are too difficult to activate. It's annoying that I always have to hunt around on 3/4 of the buttons for the right place to push and it usually takes a minimum of 4 pushes for each button before my selection lights up on the panel. Though my range was delivered two weeks ago, I also haven't been able to connect to my WiFi yet. I guess I will have to give up on that and call GE for help so they can guide me through the process. I'm not computer illiterate so I shouldn't be having this much trouble connecting to my WiFi. Alexa and I have been friends for the last 3 years and I'd love her to get to know my GE Profile Series PGB940 Range like she has the other things in my house. Once I have my range connected to the internet I'll be satisfied and never have to come back into the house to check to see if I remembered to turn the stove off. Fess up...you know you've done that too on more than one occasion.

Starting with the good stuff - the stove itself seems to work fairly well. Warming drawer is a neat option and works well, Heats up quickly, elements are responsive. Looks like described. Haven't had a chance yet to try some of the other features like Alexa connection, thermometer inside and the center top element. However, my three FYI comments would be 1. the grates seem to discolor quickly, 2. if you're running the oven while you have pots on the stove - be very careful as the heat funnels back out the front of the stove back and your handles can get very very hot and 3. the front left element has a small/large heating option but the way it's designed, the large size only seems to go down to medium heat and the small element only goes up to medium heat, so you can't use the element for low heat on a large pot or high heat on a small pot. However, that experience was on our first damaged stove (large dent on the side) while we were waiting for the replacement. The replacement showed up also dented. It appears the manufacturer isn't careful when packaging the item. Not sure if anyone else has had the same issue, but for the price I paid for the stove I didn't need to keep a damaged product. I'll be working with Best Buy on replacement options.

The gas cook top is mostly great. The having the burners wider is good for pots and pans, but be aware that the flames will lick anything near the stove on the counters. This is mostly a problem for smaller kitchens like mine. The electric oven is slow. Very slow. So very slow you can easily double the length of time any baking will take. It takes for ever to get up to temperature, and is it really at that temperature? Hard to say. Even with the convection on, it is slow. The beep that tells you that it is up to temperature actually tells you when the manufacturer thinks that it's ok to put food in. This thing is outrageously slow to heat up and bake anything.

Customers are delighted by the ease of use and value of the 5.6 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Dual Fuel Convection Range. Many appreciate its user-friendly design and consider it an excellent value for the price. However, some customers have expressed concerns regarding the oven's heating time, noting that it is slower than expected and requires longer cooking times. Improvements to the oven's heating performance are suggested by some users.
