Customers are enthusiastic about the Profile Series 22.1 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Counter-Depth Refrigerator, but there are some concerns about the water dispenser. Some customers have reported that the drinking water drips at first.

There are quite a few things I dislike about this refrigerator: There is one less shelf in the fridge door than my previous side-by-side, and I miss it terribly. The bottom veggie drawer is super small. It’s half as deep as the other drawer and doesn’t pull out all the way. It is full with barely any veggies in it. The deli drawer only pulls out halfway making it hard to find things if it’s full. The shelves have a plastic lip all around the edges that is rather high, so you can’t set things all the way back or all the way to the side, so you lose storage space on each shelf. The top shelf loses a lot of space due to that part that sticks out. The freezer is so small, much smaller than my previous side-by-side counter-depth refrigerator. The water dispenser area is too short for tall glasses, we are constantly spilling water trying to fill them up at an angle. The button to switch from water to ice is rather hard to push. I’d much prefer two separate areas for water and ice, as it’s so much easier to move the cup over rather than push a button. The stainless steel stains very easily. The installer must not have leveled it correctly, because the doors do not close easily if you give them a gentle push, you have to make sure to push firmly to shut the doors. I wanted a side-by-side, counter depth fridge so my choices were limited and reviews on each were pretty bad, but I wish I’d gone with the Kitchen Aid like I had before. It broke after only 5 years and they had stopped making parts for it already. Seriously, after only 5 years! I was so mad, I vowed not to buy one again. Wish I had, as I liked its design so much better. Too many things about this one frustrate me.

Just moved into new sub-division and the builder basically pushes GE Elite. We bought all GE from the builder with the exception of the refrigerator as I knew I could purchase from Best Buys for less money than the builder charged and they would install. All went great. Best Buys offered a great price, good delivery schedule and so far all is great in refrigerator land. There are better fridges our there but for the money this one is very good.

The unit was delivered on time and set up more quickly than expected. Impressed with how quiet it is in both normal cooling and ice making modes. Liked the quality of the drawers, the pull out shelves and the fold out wire fronts on the freezer door shelves. A big plus was the BestBuy price match which enabled the purchase of an extended warranty at no additional cost.
