GE Profile Series 22.2 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter-Depth Refrigerator with Keurig Brewing System
This refrigerator is a necessary appliance to any kitchen but is a must if you are building and the builder is doing GE stainless appliances with the side by side fridge. Pass on their fridge or put it in the garage as this fridge is counter depth and will look as close to built in as possible and is the same stainless steel as the rest of the appliances.
We bought this for two reasons: made in America and the built-in Keurig hot beverage maker. We wanted to reclaim some counter space and thought the Keurig in the door would be great. It is great on paper. In practice, the K-cup insert would drip excessively. We also experienced problems with the K-cup spurting and and spewing coffee around the ice and water dispenser. We had a service call and the tech from the Geek Squad mentioned that this seems to occur as a result of built up pressure in the water line. It only seemed to happen when brewing the first cup in the morning. The tech thinks the pressure builds up overnight or during other periods where the water isn't being called for frequently. He had no suggestion for correcting the problem.
The other issue we had with it was the slide-out tray in the freezer kept dropping off the rails. The tech made an adjustment but it still didn't quite fit properly. He offered to get a new tray and replace it under warranty. We decided to return the refrigerator and replaced it with a different brand and model.
I purchased this GE scratch and dent to replace a brand new Samsung (do not buy Samsung appliances) frig. that never worked properly. This frig works very well, not noisy I only hear the ice dropping occasionally, the inside lighting is very nice, food stays fresh a long time and the ice machine is working great so far. The app is a great feature as well. I'm very happy with the purchase.
Was reluctant to purchase, because of some of the reviews( loud, too long to heat water...)
Well, I don’t know what people are talking about the noice, but I had other refrigerator and they were loud, this one is quiet. Just ask Alexa and the water start to heat or push the button is does not take long at all and so convenient to not have to refill reservoir all the time.
My wife and I love this refrigerator. She loves using the heated water function remotely, so that it's ready when she gets downstairs and can have her tea or oatmeal. We also use the Keurig Brewing System on occasion when we don't want to brew a full pot. The only drawback is that you can only have 1 username and password to control and monitor the refrigerator wirelessly through your home network.
The kuerig dispenser leaks. The moisture in the fridge is not keeping produce fresh. I will need to read the product info to see if there is anything I can do from my end. Appreciate all of the touch access on the outside dispenser. The only option is to choose yes or no would I recommend, I would say maybe.

A:Answer Hi Donna! We're sorry to hear about the error message and leak. We'll be happy to help you. If you experience leaking from inside or under the fresh food door on a refrigerator with the Keurig® K-Cup Brewing System, first make sure the K-Cup pod is pushed down into the brewer all the way. You should hear a snap or pop when the lower pin pierces the pod. If the bottom of the brewer is not pierced, water cannot flow through the pod and instead is released inside the door.
If the pod is seated in the brewer properly, it is possible there is a clog in the brewer's upper and/or lower piercing pin. If this happens, the brewer will not work.

A:Answer GE has not made appliances for several years. The appliance division was bought by a Japanese Company. It looks like the US plant mostly assembles the appliances based on You Tube videos of the manufacturing site.
So please don't confuse GE appliances owned by Haier in China with the GE company.
