I bought this Model No. PDF820 because you can choose to use only the upper or lower rack by itself, or both racks. I took dishes, mugs and cookware to the store to check out the fit. Not as useful as I expected. Neither rack is set up so a mix of dishes/flatware/cups, pans, etc. can be easily arranged, so I now use both racks all the time. Top rack has this quirky set up on the left-hand side where the posts (tines?) where you put the dishes are offset from one another so the dishes end up at an angle instead of lined up square. Bottle washer clips are a nuisance - I took mine off. Flatware holder is too big, while the slots are two small for my flatware. I've been arranging flatware for 30 years w/o needing slots. I kept the flatware holder from my previous GE Profile and am using it instead. You must call and ask for the complete Users Manual (free), which only show lots of dishes (like for a party), rather than the mix a household usually sees. Two months after delivery I'm still looking for the ideal arrangement. I don't want to be constantly putting the fold down tines up or down. Impossible to put rinse aid in dispenser without spilling all over the inside of the door. Using light wash with heated dry (108 min) (dishes are totally wet even overnight if you don't use heated dry) glasses and cups sometimes have residue even tho I scrape and rinse because it take me several days to fill both racks. Tried Normal (128 min) instead and not much improvement. Small, short juice glasses rattle around on sides of top rack. If you bump (or even just brush) the front control panel it will light up (but not start). Panel is delicate - it's entirely plastic, with some kind of aluminized paint that scratches very easily, which it did during installation. When tech removed the protective plastic from the first replacement panel it peeled a long strip of paint off - worse than the original scratch. It is very quiet - I can run it when I'm sitting in my TV room right next to the open kitchen and not be disturbed. My previous GE Profile dishwasher lasted 21 years and worked like a Trojan. Not sure this one will. I would recommend with reservations as noted.

Excellent in cleaning. Quiet. Small for larger pots. Wine glasses do no fit upright.

Recently moved into a senior community where the kitchen needed an upgrade, and since we always had GE appliances, naturally bought GE once again. Have never been disappointed in a GE appliance, and this dishwasher is no exception. Have not had a chance to use all of the many features, but already have had great results that live up to my past GE experience.
