We researched multiple GE Profile refrigerators for our new house. This struck the right balance of capacity and features. The best feature of all in a house full of tall people is side-by-side fridge and freezer. My wife and I are both 6' plus so the fact that we aren't stooped over, sorting frozen items from a bottom freezer was a deal MAKER for us. The refrigerator has a bin for meats & cheese, & produce/fresh food drawers with humidity control features and adjustable glass shelves and door pockets. Capacity is great at 25.4 cu ft (more than enough for a family of 3). Electronic controls are on the front along with the ice/water dispenser and it's a feature rich refrigerator. Warning: do not buy this model of you have tight space for a fridge. It is not counter depth. If you don't need counter depth it's a great value for the money!

i think this product is totally awesome! i love the lighting in each side! i love the spaciousness and the adjustability of all the shelves and the door shelves ... i hope this one lasts 30 years like my last one did ... i also like it that i was able to get it in white and didn't have to settle for chrome ...

Hi there. I'm trying to "pay it forward" with this review, because I benefited greatly from the reviews of others leading up to this purchase. We had a fancy (expensive) 4-door Samsung black stainless steel fridge for 4 years. It was a joke. Had the ice compartment replaced multiple times, and the repairs. Looked great, but on top of the other Samsung appliances I have now regretted buying (ALL OF THEM) - I'll never buy another one again. So it's back to GE, and this "old school but really pretty" side-by-side has been incredible. Don't always fall for the space measurements when reading about fridges. On paper, this one has less space than the Samsung French Door. But this GE has so much more USABLE space. Night and day. The controls are easy, doors seal nice, finish looks beautiful, doesn't get fingerprints, inside lighting is very cool. Stuff gets (and stays) cold quickly. I like the lighting on the outside too when you get ice/water. But my favorite feature, if you care (particularly coming from an ice maker from hell) is this ice maker. It's a MONSTER. I can't believe how fast it makes ice, and how MUCH IT MAKES - I love dumping most of the ice into a cooler for a "get away from COVID" picnic, and still having a ton of ice left! My only complaint, and it's mild - is that it's noisier than I would have expected for a GE Profile. Our family room and kitchen are open (together) so I hear it more. But it doesn't bother me. It's noisier than the Samsung, but the Samsung was such a piece of junk otherwise, who cares how quiet it was. The noise on this GE isn't even worth deducting a star. But if you can hear one in a store, and the sound is a big concern, I suggest trying (hard these days). We've had this thing now for over 8 months and I just could NOT be happier. LOVE IT. You will not be sorry with this purchase. One more thing. PRO TIP: Make sure your installer team gets the doors level. We didn't. Our team was really good (didn't scratch the floors or anything) but I think they forgot to check that. I can correct it myself, but I just haven't.
