GE Profile Series Top Control Built-In Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub, 3rd Rack, 45dBA
Nice dishwasher but buyer beware! The steam vents at the bottom of the door. If you're using the steam feature, any engineered or solid floor will discolor or stain. I was advised to purchase a GE to replace my old one because of where the electrical wiring comes up from the floor. I really had my heart set on a Bosh! :-(
Hello, we appreciate your review. We’re sorry to hear of your concern regarding the steam vents of your new dryer. We appreciate you providing us this feedback and we will pass it along to our dryer product development team for future improvement. Please know that we value your business and apologize for any unexpected inconvenience this may have caused. -Chris@GEA

Buyer beware for open box appliances
Owned for 3 months when reviewed.
I didn't need a dishwasher but this one was an open Box deal and since I was already buying some other GE appliances on a whim I decided to replace my old Frigidaire dishwasher. Big mistake because now I have to wash the dishes before I put them in the dishwasher and then I have to wash them again afterwards and that wastes water and it also wastes my time and causes frustration. It was a really good price and I asked repeatedly if there was anything wrong with it but they said no, it was returned because there was scratch on the door. When I asked why there were water spots inside they said they test them before they put them back out for sale but I have a feeling somebody had this dishwasher and returned it because it didn't wash dishes very well. The pictures are some of the dishes I pulled out of my dishwasher yesterday. It also has a drying feature but that doesn't work because there's still water on top of the dishes even when using the highest setting. I bought this dishwasher on March 28th 2022. I wish I still had my 13 year old Frigidaire dishwasher.
So before I start, BestBuy delivery and installation close to holidays is awful. Multiple cancellations and when they showed up, they had the wrong model. Anyways, prepare for a lot of headaches.
You probably know that sound pressure level (SPL) is a logarithmic scale, so the difference between 45db and 42db is not like 10%. Actually, in each 3db sound volume will be doubled, meaning 45db is twice as loud as a 42db dishwasher. If I knew how loud 45db is in action, I would opt in for a 39db dishwasher. The operation is audible and the fan noise for drying is quite irritating like a loud fridge.
Cleaning and Drying Power:
Very nice cleaning power, and drying is perfect for everything including glass. Much better than my old dishwasher. Bottle jets are amazing and so is the utensils jets.
Off the chart. However the stainless color is a bit warmer than my non-Profile GE fridge and gas range. The middle top black area above the handle On the front is actually a mini display that shows “washing” or “drying” depending on the cycle.
Very nice dishwasher with the sale price. If you’ve more budget, get the 39db version. Thanks for reading.
Not recommended. Chrome trim at top of door pulled away twice in less than two years. GE fixed first time under warranty but refused help second time because warranty expired. Dishwasher does an adequate job but is very slow
We have all GE products including Washer and Dryer. We ordered this Profile Dishwasher to complete the set.
Delivery didn't call until the end of the window. Delivered it with water in it that dumped into our house when they set it down.
Terrible instructions that were generic and vague at best used potentially for all of their dishwashers. Order of operations caused you to work under the dishwasher vs steps that could have made it a lot easier before sliding in. It appears they only believe pros are going to install something that's pretty simple for an average homeowner.
Initial quality was poor. The trim pieces you have to fit the seals on were misaligned. We though this could have been an open box for a bit because of the weird glue and residue that still hasn't come off. Support brackets are strong enough to give it a solid feel so it slips around a bit. Screw covers were cheap plastic and bent when having to force them into the ill shaped trim.
I don't think I'll buy a GE Dishwasher ever again after this.

Rust stains near the display and leaking
Owned for 1 year when reviewed.
We had high hopes based on the reviews we read for the dishwasher but barely a year past purchasing we are very disappointed. The dishwasher as rust stains near the digital display which has also intermittently stopped displaying. In addition we now have leaking without even using the steam function that has begun discoloring our wood floors. Would never have purchased if we knew this would be the outcome. We expected a much better product from GE.
It’s very, very quiet. It cleans very well. It has settings for just a few dishes or a full load. It’s fingerprint resistance. I didn’t know what to expect with the mixed reviews I read, but took a chance and happy that I did. The setup was quick and Best Buy hauled off the old one. Spacious for all type of dishes and pans. It’s beautiful in my kitchen and I love everything about it! I highly recommend it.
A:AnswerHi - Thank you for considering this lovely GE dishwasher for your home. This model offers our "Hidden Vent" feature. The feature not only eliminates excess steam it also aids in drying your dishes. Air is pulled from the tub with an efficient 10 watt fan. The fan drives the moist air down a condensation tube, where any remaining drops of moisture are released within the door to a moisture proof trough in the lower inner door. Any remaining moisture drains back into the bottom of the tub and away from the dish load. When the dishwasher is installed properly there would be no issue with steam damaging your flooring. All our best! Vikki@GEA
A:AnswerHello LK - Thank you for reaching out about this very versatile dishwasher. The top rack is adjustable and allows approximately 7 to 9 inches of clearance depending on the adjustment. Therefore, at the lowest setting for the upper rack, a 9 inch bottle will fit. Feel free to bring your bottle in to the store to test it out! Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John
A:AnswerHi CRJJ91 - Yes, PDT715SYNFS has a fingerprint resistant stainless finish. It also has a removable filter that can be easily removed for cleaning. Simply twist counterclockwise and lift to remove. This should be done every other month or more depending on usage. See page 21 of the Use and Care Manual for complete details: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000214.pdf - It also uses the latest technology (Dry Boost with Fan Assist) to get hard-to-dry items like plastic tumblers up to three times drier than other heated cycles can.
