My goddaughter loves this laptop! I was looking at a new laptop for her as she loves Minecraft and needed her own laptop for back to school. She kept saying to me that it was too hard to share a laptop with her sisters and this seemed to be a good starter laptop that could be all hers. So her godmother stepped in for a fun new purchase and all seems great. While I was considering a few other laptops online, when I saw this GeoBook I thought it would be perfect and it was the right price point. She absolutely loves it and said its light and very easy to use. Green is her favorite color so that was an added bonus As an additional bonus, this laptop came with free year of Microsoft office. Note the free Microsoft 365 Personal Package is already bundled inside the laptop. When I went to checkout online at Bestbuy.com it was offered as separate discounted purchase bundle but you don't need that (so nice cost savings for me!) This GeoBook also has a much better camera for zoom calls as she has already been zooming with friends and me so I'm able to stay in touch with her easier in our separate homes. This is a great lightweight laptop that I'd highly recommend.

It's alright for a budget laptop. There were 2 early reviews (maybe even the same person) who apparently got a free one sent to them as professional reviewers. They claimed it has USB-C charging. No, it does not. The manufacturer confirmed in the Q&A that it does not have USB-C charging. I've been using it for over a year now and can confirm it does not have USB-C charging. That aside, the best thing about this laptop is the unique color. I bought the lavendar. I was worried it might look child-like but it is perfectly suitable for an adult to use. It's a lighter/softer color than appears on screen. It's also one of the few laptops I can find with a smaller screen, which I prefer for portability. Now, the downsides. The first laptop I got had dead pixels. I sent it back and got another. (UPS made sure to smash the box even worse the 2nd time around, but that's a different story.) The screen has awful color settings out of the box. I spent some time fiddling with the color balance to get the screen somewhat reasonable. The keys are difficult to read because they are white imprint on very light lavendar. This turns out to be a bigger annoyance than I expected, considering that I touch-type. I still need to look down at the keyboard for certain symbols, numbers, punctuation. The touchpad isn't great quality either. It will often jump around the screen and register phantom clicks. Despite the drawbacks, I think it's a decent laptop for the Black Friday price.

After almost a year of my son using my nice laptop for remote learning and getting the keyboard all sticky, I finally gave in and decided to buy him his own laptop. After doing some research, I narrowed down my choices to HP, ASUS, and Geo, but here's what ultimately made me choose Geo over others: the size and weight. HP and ASUS had similar spec devices but with 14" and 15" screens, they weren't as portable as this 12.5" screen device. Plus the webcam had 1080p vs others at 720p which is better for his Zoom classes. Geo also came with free Minecraft game, stickers, and a cool keyboard guide too, which won bonus points from my son as well.

Customers love the GeoBook 120 for its budget-friendly price, vibrant color options, and kid-friendly design. Many parents appreciate its suitability for light gaming and schoolwork, and kids enjoy playing Minecraft on it. However, some customers have concerns about the screen quality and slow performance, and a few wish it had more storage.
