The back is protective but clear so you can still see your phone's color. The front has a nice tough fabric wrap that protects your screen without a screen protector. The camera is also well protected with a bumper. You can use the front flap as a phone rest if positioned just right. See pics. Mine is an iphone Xr. I am not sure how it will do long term yet but it seems pretty solid.

I like the design of the case and structure seem very good. However, i did not like clear back which showed scratches easily
