Gave it as a birthday gift. Person really enjoyed it.
I first saw this movie at the local theater in my home town. I am a big fan of both Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor. I have been looking for the dvd (and earlier the VHS) for a long time. I never get tired of watching this movie. It has romance, action, and family disputes and values all in one. You laugh and cry and just enjoy the story. I get so involved in this (and other movies), that I feel like I am there living what they are going thru. Great movie for the younger generation to see how life was. For both those with and those without.
It's one of my favorite films. A true classic. A shame it took so long to be put on Blu-ray HD quality when I would think a classic like this would be put on Blu-ray DVD in 2006 when Blu-ray movies were coming out. I enjoy the Special Features it is packed with and I surely do enjoy viewing the film in High Definition quality.
