the Gigabyte M27Q is a very good option for gaming. It has a good refresh rate, good color image quality. Free sync works perfect. the price is excellent for everything the monitor offers, it competes monitors like Dell s2721dhf or LG gn850-B, I can say that the M27Q can be a little better in terms of performance, For gaming I disabled HDR . the configuration I use for the best image quality is in standard: -brightness 50 nits. -Contrast 80. -Gamma 3. -Color Tem User Red 95-Green 98-Blue 100. All other configurations must be in default. I got this information on the web. the ods is ok the materials are plastic the base is metal. What I did not like is that in some areas the text has blur but it can be fixed using the windows option "Clear Type Text Tuner". I recommend this monitor, it is one of the best options that best buy has and in its category it is one of the best.

So far so good, no dead pixel or any visible panel damage so far, I would say the grey/black uniformity isn’t the greatest there is definitely a bright grey towards the edges but it will vary monitor to monitor. The colors are fantastic and the high refresh rate is a nice change from 60hz. I have attached a photo in regards to the black uniformity sadly it’s just a downside of the monitor tech being IPS but better quality control can help out a lot but at this price point what do you expect. Anyways I’d recommend the monitor and its appears best buy has the RGB subpixel arrangement instead of BGR which is great for text clarity.

Bought it on sale for $269 after watching the review on Hardware Unboxed. Was initially impressed with the contrast, colors, and functionality available with the KVM switch. Unfortunately, I soon noticed discoloration in the bottom left from the yellow backlight bleed. It's one thing if it's standard IPS glow, but this was BAD. More than just blacks were getting washed out, it was noticeable during gameplay in Halo and Forza. I even got my wife's opinion on it, and she's not a super picky person when it comes to displays. It was too much for her as well. We made the decision to return the same day and Customer Service at best buy gave me 0 trouble swapping to the more expensive Dell in the same class - thanks to Don in Kennesaw! The Dell has 0 issues and even looks a little better aesthetically (personal opinion). If you get lucky and buy one that doesnt have backlight bleed, its likely a better deal than anything else in its price class - but its taking a gamble with Gigabyte's QA process.
