I have a GMMK Full Size and TKL, so this review covers both. These boards are an incredible value for what they offer: A strong and sturdy board with hotswap capabilities. They are, however, weak in two areas: The LEDs are unbelievably dim (and are north facing,) as well as the full size having a non removable USB cable (the TKL is removable.) These GMMK boards are super popular though, for good reasons. There is a 1-star review on this product that states the switches for sale next to it do not work with this product, here’s why: This board is for plate-mounted switches. The Glorious Switches sold at Best Buy are PCB mounted switches. What’s the difference? Plate Mounted = 3 pins / PCB Mounted = 5 pins. A Plate Mounted Switch will snap into place onto this board with no issues, but the PCB Mounted (like the Glorious at Best Buy) will need to have (2) plastic pins cut off of the bottom to fit in this board. It does no damage to the switch as they’re only there for integrity purposes. I’d recommend using a pair of side cuts to remove them. Just remember, you can’t turn a 3 pin into a 5 pin, but you can turn a 5 pin into a 3 pin!

While there are better barebones boards out there, a lot of them aren't easily accesible. The fact that for 60 bucks you can grab a solid base for a custom mechanical keyboard off the shelf at a large retailer is a selling point for people who might want to tey it out, but are intimidated by the amount of options and research. This board with some cheap Kailh or Gateron switches, and the also-at-Best Buy Hyper-X pudding keycaps will give a solid start. My only real complaint is the integrated USB cable. Would have rathered a swappable usb-c.

RGB, hotswap, included keycap + switch puller is nice. Stabilizers are fine (not clipped, but fine for most people). Only 3-pin switches supported (but thats fine too). Would like a detachable cable but its good on a budget.
