Best 7 inch Tablet For Anyone
||Posted .I have owned the Nexus 7 1st Generation tablet as well, and this 2nd Generation proves Google has consistently redone themselves again with this new Nexus 7. The performance boost is amazingly fast, from multitasking, to mobile gaming, and heavy app use has really improved. I experience no lag in switching to different apps, no stutter on button presses as well. The mass variety of free and paid apps on the Google Play Store is abundant and high quality optimized for Tablets. I can only see more features and improvements for this Tablet. I use it everyday with my Bluetooth headset, I pay at the gas stations with the NFC Google wallet which is awesome. I'm not a tablet camera type person, but when I do need it the pictures are well balanced and has a lot of effects and helpful fixes to photos as well as video. Having a back camera on this generation is very helpful in apps that use them and taking pictures. I highly recommend this to any students for books, notes, email, internet browsing as I use this everyday and note taking has been very helpful and recording class sessions. Reading on this display and resolution is better than my iPad 4th gen it is more comfortable to hold and read on this tablet as well. Overall this is the best 7 inch tablet hand down, go out and buy it and you won't regret it. Quality is superb.

This is a solid, well-built tablet for the money.
||Posted .This is my first real tablet, having used a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for a year and a half (love it!). I bought the 2nd gen Nexus 7 because I'm taking a class on Android programming in C#. I use the tablet as a reader and will soon be using it on my new job. Got a bluetooth kb/case and really like this combination. I'm an older user (50s) and have some stiffness in my fingers and right hand. I find the volume control and power button a bit painful to press and hard to feel. They seem to be too thin. It would be helpful if they were either located in a different location or easier to feel and to press. I don't like them at all, but I know the thinness of the case determines some of this. Overall, I love this tablet and will be buying one for my wife shortly.

Amazing screen! Great value! Love it!
||Posted .- The Nexus 7 (2013) started off with a few hiccups (turned out to be software related, not hardware) when it came to GPS issues and erratic touch issues. As of 23 August, Google released an OTA update and all issues are now resolved. I was contemplating returning it, because the erratic touch inputs were annoying to no end, but glad I kept it. It is perfect and a major step up from the 2012 version. - The Speakers are a major upgrade from the previous Nexus 7. While they are not on the front, like the HTC One, there are stereo speakers now. - Internal Memory: Pay the extra $50 and get the 32GB version. While 16GB may seem like enough, it won't be in a year or two of ownership. Apps are getting larger and larger in size! All said and done, this is a great buy and still $100 cheaper than the iPad Mini. Much more bang for your buck!

so much better than the 2012 nexus
||Posted .I could not wait to upgrade and I am so happy I did I got rid of my iPad 64 gig trade it in last year's Nexus 7 and samsung galaxy tablet because this new tablet blow them all away with ease of use screen clarity and speed I love this thing great for movies and gaming

This upgrade is the way there.
Posted .Lets boil it down : This tablet initially lacked the rear vew camera, well not anymore. We do have a rear view camera now. Talk about performance, battery life and software build is just phenomenal ( atleast to me). I have owned a galaxy tab 2 7.0 which is pretty much a competitor but still loses out to this in most of the aspects. For the price, Hey! Cmon. I can assure you, there is no better deal like this for what is burried within this machine.

THE BEST TABLET I'VE SEEN & USED
Posted .This is a pure Android, fast as lightning, sharp resolution, comfortable size of 7 inches and easy to use. After trying all Galaxies and i phone over the past five-six years, I found the best mobile phone, NEXUS 5. Then, started looking for tablet - NEXUS 7. Exccellent choice. Battery is great. I don't have to recharge in three days. The usage is fantastic. I like the absence of many idiotic apps that I don't need. I am not a computer nurd (I wish I were) but I can use the tablet with no problem at all. Use my e-mail(s), enjoy reading books and articles, the news, watch news and videos, very helpful for legal reaearch, away from the office and all other applications. A great communication tool. GOOGLE did a GREAT JOB with NEXUS 5 abd NEXUS 7 at a reasonable price.

Excellent for watching video and playing HD games
||Posted .My wife has had the first generation Nexus 7 for about six months now, and she loves it. I Bought the Nexus 7 2 when it first came out in July. I did a lot of research on the tablet and it's specs, so I knew what I was buying. I bought it primarily to watch streaming video (Netflix, youtube, anime), surf gaming and tech websites, and to play tablet games. So far it's worked flawlessly. I like my games to have good graphics, and so far the Nexus 7 2 plays anything I throw at it. The interface is fast and very responsive. When I'm doing something that needs the keyboard (like passwords or searches), the typing is easy and works good; no wrong key hits. It takes pretty decent pictures when set to 5MP. Skype video calls are okay (not fantastic, but work okay). I've used it for reading comics (so far with the Marvel subscription app) and it works pretty good. Comics and magazines work better on the 10 inch tablets, but the Nexus 7 2 works just fine for that, too. Recommendations/FYI; Through the years we used to buy our daughter games for her DS, and usually spent $10-30 dollars each. But since we got her a tablet a couple years ago, she loves the game apps and only wants those. And the Android game apps she likes are priced from free to less than $5. Much better on the finances. I have found some games I like for my new Nexus 7 2 tablet that costs $5-10, but they were very well done, had HD graphics, and felt like you were playing a PC or console game. But the vast majority of app games are really inexpensive. Anyway, my daughter also uses her tablet for video streaming, surfing the net, and email. I heard rumors that the DSi might be able to stream Netflix, but I don't think the video quality will be anywhere near what a tablet can do. So I'd recommend parents getting a tablet for their kids, instead of one of the Nintendo DS models. The tablets have more functionality, better screen quality, and the games are much cheaper. I think the Nexus 7 2 would make a great gift for some older folks, too. My father in-law loves using my wife's Nexus 7 to watch sports and check email. It lets him sit on the couch next to his bride of 43 years, with her watching TV and him using the tablet. They can do their own thing, but still interact. My wife and I have been using this same philosophy in our own home for many years, and it works great. DOWNSIDE 1: The one downside I've found during use is that the charger heats up, a lot, when you use the tablet while plugged into an extension cord. And you WILL need to use an extension cord if you use it while plugged in, cause the cord it ridiculously short. DOWNSIDE 2: You MUST have Wi-Fi access (for Wi-Fi models) in order to set up the Nexus 7 2. When you first turn it on it goes through a set up process, and requires the ability for you to access the internet to let it update the software. I can't remember for sure, but I also think it made me login/set up my Google account before I could get to the main screen. During set up, it lets you pick a Wi-Fi network, but it only gives you the option of selecting a network and entering a password, not changing the access/security settings or look up the tablet's mac address. I have my home network set up with higher security, and had to temporarily set up a low security guest Wi-Fi just so the tablet could do it's thing during set up. Once the tablet got to the main screen I was able to change the tablets network settings, log into my main network login, and could delete the guest one. So it you buy the Wi-Fi model and you don't have lo security Wi-Fi handy, then you'll have to go find a restaurant or something with free Wi-Fi hotspot, in order to get past the initial set up. Hint for better battery life; if you're doing something that does not require the Wi-Fi (not all games/apps require Wi-Fi ), then turn the Wi-Fi off until you need it. Tablets, and their apps, constantly reach out to the net for updates, which can suck your battery. Overall I believe the Google Nexus 7 2 is the absolute best tablet for the money. I'm incredibly pleased with it, and will recommend it to others.

Great E-reader or tablet or toy for?
Posted .I purchased this for my daughter and she loves it. She has the one that does not have the rear facing camera. She reads a lot and I wanted something that she could go to all the different E-reader places and this does the job very well. She loves the play store and that she can watch movies from Netflix, Hulu and You tub. I have found a work around for no memory card with a cable that plugs in to the charging port and has a female usb on the other end she can plug a flash drive in to it and she now has unlimited storage.

Q: QuestionNeed a computer?I am looking for something to replace the iphone for what I use it for, not as a phone. The iphone requires itunes on my computer to update and download certain things. Will this device require a similar program on my computer? This will be my first tablet, I don't know a lot about them.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I would defiantly reccomend the Nexus 7. You don't need to sync it to your computer to update. It'll update on its own for you. I had only used apple products for a long time but this tablet blows the iPad out of the water.

- A:Answer You can download the apps for Barnes & Noble and Kindle. Once you log into the apps you can store any of your existing library onto your nexus. No need to use the USB port. You can do that as well but may take longer.
