A: Hi Nick. While both the Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds Pro 2 offer transparency mode, the latter has an enhanced experience. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 feature refined microphones and advanced processing, resulting in a more natural and immersive transparency mode. However, it's important to note that using transparency mode does drain the battery faster than when it's turned off. This is because the earbuds are constantly working to capture and process surrounding sounds.
A: Thanks for asking. You can charge the Pixel Buds Pro 2 wirelessly or with a USB-C cable. You'll need to purchase those charging accessories separately.
A: No. ACR filters repetitive sound by playing destructive waves for those. It won't work on unpredictable sound and it doesn't lessen the sound pressure. Even if it cancelled out a machine gun firing at a constant rate, the sound pressure is what damages your ears, not your perception of the sound. Think of it as an equally loud anti-sound. The only benefit for gunfire is the noise isolation from a tight fit, but that won't be dampening enough. There are overear Bluetooth/wired hearing protection that work as headphones, with noise filtering pass thru which can also be combined with foam ear inserts (hear-os) to handle what you are asking, at a lower cost.
A: Yes, Find my Device will make the headphones emit a loud sound and even the case now has a speaker so that you can locate it even if the headphones are inside.

Best All-Around Earbuds
For the last four years I've used the Beats fit pro. They recently broke and I've struggled to find a good replacement. I tried models from Beats, Nothing, and Sony. However, all of them had significant downsides. I finally landed on the Pixel Buds Pro 2 as my replacement and I couldn't be more happy. Pros: Comfort - I can work all day with my earbuds in and never have any fatigue or pain. Transparency Mode - I know many people care more about ANC, but for me I need to be able to hear my surroundings. The transparency mode is fantastic. There is no pressure or white noise. Battery - Lasts my whole work day. Case Size - Far smaller than other brands I've tried. ANC - Does it's job well when I need it. Connectivity. I can have my phone sitting on the main floor and the earbuds stay connected when I run down to the basement. Cons: Honestly, my only con is the color. It feels like Google went to two opposite ends of the spectrum: two boring colors in black/white and two wild colors in neon blue and pink. I would have loved a forest green or navy blue.

Sounds seems off but I'm sure my ears will adjust
Right away I noticed the sound signature is definitely different than the original pros. TBH I'm not a fan initially but hey maybe it's Google shooting for a more neutral sound curve which is throwing my perception off. With eq tweaks it sounds pretty good. Definitely not bass heavy by default like it's predecessor. Bass can be cranked up if desired but be aware it gets a little boomy and muddy. Transparency nailed! Noise canceling nailed! Fit is way better and doesn't feel like you don't know which way to seat it in your cartilage. Just twist until the wing rests on your cartilage. Overall I'm impressed with the improvements and it's nice the case design didn't change enough that my Spigen armor case fits perfectly! I highly recommend playing around with different tip sizes and styles as even the large tips didn't seal well for me. This will drastically improve bass and noise canceling. I Had some old wired powerbeats tips laying around and they fit and allow the lid to close with just the right clearance.
