I've enjoyed the Pixelbook Go after moving on from the original Pixelbook. The screen's aspect ratio in my opinion is better for multi-tasking with the dual screen feature and far better for watching videos. I use this for my everyday person and work device and I can get everything done that I need. The keyboard that everyone is raving about is as good as advertised. Now for the cons...I expect a $1000 laptop to have features like fingerprint, smartwatch, or facial recognition unlock. Similarly priced products from Microsoft, Apple, etc. have these capabilities. It's insane that Google would charge that much and leave out features like that. Also, if there are only going to be 2 colors, I don't believe Black and Pink should be the only options (yes, it's definitely pink). I exchanged for the black one. There should be a more neutral color if those other 2 are on the table.

I got the Pixelbook Go because my Toshiba Chromebook 2's screen was failing, and it wasn't able to consistently participate in Zoom calls without being overtaxed. Almost every piece of the hardware experience was a significant improvement: better build quality, better speakers, better screen, better keyboard, better performance, better battery life, and a touchscreen that I honestly don't use much. The lack of an SD card slot and USB-A port was somewhat overcome by purchasing an inexpensive hub with both, along with others. I am still CPU limited at times, as the device doesn't use the latest chipset, but not much does in the Chromebook world. Overall I've been extremely pleased with this PBG, and don't think that I really needed to get 16 GB model. I think that any normal Chrome OS user would do fine getting any model of this device. Keep your eye out for newer models of similar build quality with a more up-to-date version of Intel's chips, though.
