Perfect Protection

My son-in-law got a HERO9 as a gift and with his track record of destroying electronics, this was the perfect add on to protect his new GoPro. The HERO9 was a replacement for the one he lost when he was zip lining in Costa Rica last fall. No, he refuses to use a head or chest holder. We'll see how long this one hangs around, but at least it will be protected from wear and tear.

GoPro case that goes beyond!

The case comes with good instructions and multiple options for the use of the rear touch screen while keeping good Protection of the camera for physics encounters and when used under the water. The instructions for assembly were good but could be better to explain how it Inter haces with other holding mechanisms for mounting. Price is very fair but it sits at around 1/8 of the cost of the camera, kind of high.

Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5the hero 9 is already waterproof but I like to mount to cars, ATVs, and snowmobiles and the added protection gives me piece of mind. I will never use this in the water to the depth it is capable but it is a quality unit!

- A:Answer When the GoPro is in the Protective Housing, the camera is fully enclosed. There is no way to connect a cable to the GoPro while it's in this housing.

Q: QuestionHow can you operate the GoPro 9 camera when it's in the U/W housing. How do you take video or still shots, when there doesn't appear to be any knobs or buttons of any kind on the housing?

- A:Answer There are button relays on the top and the side of the Protective Housing that will allow you to press the buttons on the GoPro. You will not be able to control the camera using the rear touch screen, but nearly all functions can be controlled using the buttons as well.

Q: QuestionThe skeleton back door is that a secondary door to the normal rear door? Is two doors in one ? I have a protective case i got off Amazon. I do not want to buy another if they are the same

- A:Answer The skeleton door is a separate door. You can replace the back door on the Protective Housing, so you'll have the choice of using the solid/waterproof door or the skeleton door depending on how you're planning to use the camera that day.

- A:Answer If the GoPro is in the Protective Housing, it will not fit into the Floaty. The Handler would be a better option if you're looking for something to connect to the Protective Housing that will add some buoyancy to the setup.
