In the running for best album of 2012July 29, 2012
This album has been on repeat since I picked it up on Tuesday. I have been anticipating it since the minute I finished "Manners" for the first time, and I have not been disappointed. The writing on this album, mixed with the signature Passion Pit synth, really makes this album worthy of being deemed album of the year. I didn't really grasp the depth of the lyrics until I read the Pitchfork interview with Michael Angelakos, the lead singer and writer from the band. This album is written from the depths of his deep-seeded depression. The last song, "Where We Belong", was written about one of the many times Angelakos attempted to commit suicide during the creation of this album. It was definitely one of the most striking tracks on the album, along with "I'll Be Alright". I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoyed "Manners", or anyone who likes Phoenix, The Naked and Famous, MGMT, M83, or any number of indie pop bands. Definitely one of my top three albums this year.

Only OkSeptember 12, 2012
Once I bought it I really wished I just downloaded Take a Walk and didn't buy the cd. The majority of the rest of the songs sound so much like Silversun pickups - if you are a silversun pickups fan I would defintely recommend it. Otherwise I do not, most of the songs are very breathy, airy and almost impossible to understand the lyrics.
