Synopsis

Grandma's Boy
Can the world's oldest adolescent maintain his cool while living with his grandmother? Alex (Allen Covert) is a 35-year-old video-game fanatic who gave up a career in accounting to take a job testing games for Brainasium, the company behind the wildly popular game "Eternal Death Slayer." While Alex took a big pay cut to land his dream job, he's happy with his work and is making ends meet -- until he discovers that his roommate hasn't paid the rent for the last six months, using the money to finance repeated visits to a local massage parlor. After running out of friends who will let him sleep on their couch, Alex swallows his pride and moves in with his grandma Lily (Doris Roberts), who loves Alex and is happy to give him a place to stay in exchange for doing chores around the house. Lily shares her home with two friends, perpetually confused Bea (Shirley Knight) and sexually adventurous Grace (Shirley Jones), and between the three of them, there's always work to be done, keeping Alex busy nearly every night. While Alex tells his co-workers he's living with three attractive women who are running him ragged, they don't know the real story; in the meantime, Alex is trying to charm Brainasium's beautiful new executive, Samantha (Linda Cardellini), while butting heads with the firm's space-case CEO Cheezle (Kevin Nealon) and J.P. (Joel David Moore), a teenage game designer who is no longer in touch with reality. Grandma's Boy was the first feature film from director Nicholaus Goossen. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

    Hillarious Film!

Generally- I am not a fan of "Stupid" Movies and rarely have I been pleased with Happy Maddison's choices for projects to fund... but this movie was hillarious! First of all: the concept is solid. It is not a "stoner" comedy- it is a dork movie. Anyone that has ever loved/played or been interested in video games should see this movie. Anyone that enjoys comedies where "old people" act outside of expected norms should see this movie. Concept gets a strong rating. Acting is well done. Grab the Happy Maddison regulars, an excellent cast for the "older women" and some nice ancillairy comics to round it out and you have a great chance at producing something comical. What really sells this movie is its script. The longest you will go (probably) between laughs is ten minutes... tops. Truly hillarious!

I love comedies, and this was so funny throughout the entire movie. I thought it was going to be dumb before I first saw it, but then I do enjoy the Happy Madison crew because they were always funny in Adam Sandler's movies. The funniest character has to be Donte, he is a very messed up individual. The cougar who is played by the Partridge Family mom is hilarious. The "matrix" geek is so hilarious, he is a true loser and makes his self look so sad in throughout the movie. The movie has many funny characters and the stuff that happens is crazy. Overall, very funny and can constantly watch over and over again.

Adam Sandler is not only a funny actor, but he is a great director. This movie is a Happy Madison production and one of the best. I personally believe this movie launched Jonah Hill's career. And Nick Swardson has seen quite a bit more of the spolight after this. The characters are hilarious and way left field! I think I will quote this movie into my 80s! If you like so called "stupid humor", this is the creme of the crop!

When my buddy first rented this movie I must say I had my doubts, as I hadn't heard of it before and it sounded pretty bad. However, to our delight it turned out to be one of the funniest movies I have EVER seen. I immediately bought it the day after I saw it and have watched it repeatedly ever since. A MUST SEE!!

This is one of the funniest movies of all time. This movie has the adam sandler cast without adam sandler, and the movie is non stop joke after joke. If you would like to see the only real movie about video gaming, then I suggest you pick up grandma's boy.
