Great but not perfect
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThe iClear for the new iPod Touch is by all means a good case, but its not perfect. The biggest problem I have about the iClear is the removable belt clip. When I first took the case out of the package I immediately wanted to take the belt clip off because I would not really use it. The problem was it was extremely difficult to remove it. I actually had to bend the case a little to actually free the clip. With that being said, If I needed to put the clip back on, I would actually have to take the iPod Touch out of the case in order to do so. My second complaint is the lack of grip. Griffin did an excellent job with the frosted back but the problem is that the frosting makes the case very slick. It would have been nice if Griffin made areas what were more tackified. Overall the iClear is a very nice case and it achieves its purpose of protecting the iPod Touch from scratches and minor bumps. If you don't mind the belt clip issue or the lack of grip, then this case is good for you.

Okay for Now, Wait for Better
Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendNOTE: There are two iClear cases for the Touch. One for the 1g another for the 2g. The one that says "For: New iPod Touch" is for the 2g. I bought this case with very limited options on cases to choose from. I was looking for a clear case to show off my Touch's engraving. The great thing about this case is it's back is really sturdy. If my touch fell on solely on it's back I would feel very confident nothing would be even scratched. The rest of the case is very questionable. The top part is very flimsy and bendable and is just a thin plastic layer. If it fell on it's side I'm sure the case would open and my Touch would come tumbling out. The other part is the clip. It functions as a stand too but for those who don't want it on expect having a really hard time getting it off and when you do expect the case to get dirty on the inside because the back leaves two small holes where the clip used to be. Some people may not think anything about this but dirt can scratch the back of your Touch. Also my screen protector came damaged in the corner. It was okay because I have the invisibleSHIELD's screen protector but it might be a problem for others. Some protection is better than nothing however and I plan on using this til a better selection of clear cases comes out, which should be before Christmas.

Good Case- Bad Case
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI got my iPod and Griffin case for my birthday in February from my grandma. At first the case may feel fat in your hand, but you get used to it pretty soon. I think it is somewhat attractive and all but anyways... The screen protector is horrible. No matter how many times you try to put it on right, little air pockets are all over the screen. Instructions tell you to smooth it out with a card. That barely works out. A few days after having the iPod and case I drop it three times that day a short distance, (about thigh length) the case opened and out popped the iPod. Lucky for me my iPod didn't slide when it fell and nothing got scratched. I still like the case all-in-all. The neatest feature about this case is its ability to turn the clip into a stand. This feature works best when the iPod is set horizontally. Taking the clip off for an even thinner feel and replacing it can be a hassle, so it takes some getting used to. You'll just have to break it in. After about 15 or 20 times is little more easier. I haven't tried the armband part yet but I will in a bit. Overall this could be a good case. It works well with protecting your iPod from scratches when it is in yout pocket or on a rough surface. After all, its not like the package says Heavy Duty or Armored Case. But Griffin could have done better.

OK, if it would fit
Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendI was not aware that iPods have different thicknesses. This item is not thick enough for my iPod to fit into. IT looks nice, but can not clip the 2 sides together with the iPod inside. Can't help protect it if it won't close. Not sure the product would sustain much of a bump once clicked together, seems like it would come apart pretty easy.

BEST IPOD TOUCH 2nd GEN CASE OUT THERE
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI'm a kid so i dont use the arm band much but the case is killer. This case saved my Ipods life. My Ipod had fallen into a mud puddle as i was running down a street and it saved it from the fall and the water. The case fits the ipod perfectly, no moving around like some other cases ive seen. The only bad thing, which i only see is when you want to put a mini speeker on, the bottom of the case kind of gets in the way. Other than that is case is EPIC!!!!!!!!!

Not too good...
Posted .No, I would not recommend this to a friendI got this case because of the limited case options for the 2nd generation iPod touch. It would have suited my needs fine if not for the static screen cover. It was a beast. The directions are not clear as to which side is the static side (and the film itself is not labelled well). By the time you figure it out, the static side already has lint on it which makes big ol' bubbles on the screen. And, there's no good way to clean it without making it worse. Besides the issue of the static screen, the case is alright for light use. It's not terribly strong, but it will serve the purpose of protecting the iPod from daily wear and tear.
