Works like it should, but expected a little more

I'm not sure what the reviewer was talking about when they said this was the size of a Mac truck. I bought this today and it fits my 7th Generation Nano like a glove. There are two holes on the bottom of the armband, one for the lightening cable and one for the headphones. There is, unfortunately, no way to access the volume and 'skip song' button on the side of the Nano. Although, I guess it doesn't matter too much since you can access those functions from the touch screen. The only two things I'm not fond of is the part where you insert the Nano gaps a bit in the back (it worries me that sweat may get to my iPod when working out) and the armband is an adjustable elastic piece that is attached (on both sides) to the armband. I'd much rather have an armband that loops and attaches with velcro (like the Belkin armband). Also, the elastic, even when fully expanded, is rather small (and I'm saying this as a female). A male, of even average bicep size, will likely have the elastic cut into their arm. Overall it isn't a bad armband, but not really worth the price.

    Not good for exercise

Previously, we bought 2 of the Incase armbands for our new Ipod nanos (7 gen), and found them worthless for use while exercising. I bought one of these next. The good points: the iPod fits inside much better than the Incase, the armband is nice and long, the case seems well made. But the bad news: there is a big slit in the back, to get the iPod in and out. The opening lies directly against your arm, and if you exercise, sweat will get inside and all over your new iPod. Fail. This one feature ruins this case, unless you're going to wear it around the house or somewhere that won't make you perspire. By the way, this also has a design flaw in that there is no way to adjust the volume without removing the iPod from the case. it's true that under "music", there is a volume controller on the screen, so you don't have to use the button on the side. However, if you use "Nike" like I do, then you set the volume and you're stuck with it for an entire run or workout. Nike doesn't have a volume slider on the screen. I have to wonder if anyone from these companies actually takes one of these out for a run before they sell them. At least this time, I didn't buy 2. I completely rusted out a previous iPod using a case with a similar design. Sweat got in the case and within months, ruined the iPod.

Very poor design, way too big for 7th gen iPod

This product would be great, if it weren't the size of a Mack truck. The packaging it comes in specifically notes that the armband is for the 7th gen iPod, yet the armband is large enough to hold an iTouch or iPhone. The actual pouch that the iPod fits into is half an inch too wide, and two inches taller than the 7th gen, which it is supposedly designed for. My opinion is that this was a product that was originally designed for a larger model iPod, or maybe even a large smartphone. When the 7th gen came out, the manufacturer just stitched the back of the band to fit a smaller item. The photo on the front of the box is a lie. The 7th gen iPod does not fill the window as shown. While the above is strictly my opinion, the end result, whatever the reason this product made it to market, is that the iPod shifts around inside the armband while you run (because that's why most of us buy the thing, correct?). For $25, I'd expect the thing to fit the product it says it does.

I returned this armband within 24 hours. I workout, but am not huge by any stretch of the imagination. In my living room and at the largest setting, it cut off the circulation to my arm. Can't imagine how it would feel when swollen from exercise. Most disappointing about the entire experience is the treatment I received from the sales representative. He wouldn't allow me to try the band on in-store so I wouldn't "lower the value" by opening the box. Guess what? I ended up taking it back anyways, OPEN! If this is storewide policy, then I would encourage suppliers to choose an alternate packaging that allows easy trial in the store. It cost me an extra hour of my day and $10 in gas. Will never purchase an overpriced armband from Best Buy again.

I am a distance runner, and wind up sweating a lot. The armband itself fit a bit too tight, and didn't have enough coverage of the ports on the Nano 7 to really protect the device sufficiently from sweat. I have wrecked a Nano before from sweat (one of my critiques of Apple is their devices are very fragile, even things supposed to work for workouts, and, it is generally perceived as the customer's fault rather than a poor design, so, I bought this to avoid that happening again.) Long story short, I wound up taking it back. For as big and clunky as it is, it really didn't provide enough protection for the device.

Awful arm band. Bought it for my new nano which I use mostly for the gym or running. You can't get to the side controls while the ipod is in the arm band case.. i.e. volume control & ability to change songs. Also found the plastic to be too thick which made controlling the face of the ipod difficult. I didn't really like the arm band either - it was comfortable but not super easy to tighten & you can't wash it if it gets sweaty. Would like to have seen a "clip-on" feature so I could clip on shorts or pants. I will be returning it.

I have used an armband for the past few years for my Ipod while working outside in the yard. The one I had finally broke. I looked at other stores and online but was unable to find one that met my satisfaction. I then went to Best Buy and found the perfect one. The Trainer Armband for 7th Generation Apple Ipod Nano! I now wonder why I didn't just start at Best Buy to begin with. They always have the best products!

Stays in place mostly. Only had a few instances where it slid down my arm or needed to be tightened. Strap flexes well with my arm. Not 100% sweatproof, but it took over an hour of running for any moisture to show in the container. No affect the nano though. Only gripe I have is how tight the space for the nano is. Can be a pain at times sliding it into the case and lining up the headphone jack. Good product otherwise.
