Hugh Wilson directs Nicolas Cage and Shirley MacLaine in the comedy Guarding Tess, which comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while English, Spanish, and French soundtracks have been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. Subtitles are accessible in all three of those languages as well. Supplemental materials include the theatrical trailer. This is a fine release from Columbia/TriStar that boasts excellent sound and picture quality.

I have lost count on how many times I've watched this movie. I've laughed, cried watching this movie. She gives him a hard time, but loves him.

Great movie especially if you like Nicolas Cage or Shirley MacLaine. The dvd volume is too low. Turn up the volume on the TV to fix the problem. Need better audio when the disc is made. Picture quality if fine.
