I have only used this twice, but so far for $49.98 on sale I am very happy with it.
The first time I juiced four small(ish) oranges and it made enough juice to fill the cup it comes with, annnnd it was as phenomenal as the fresh made OJ I got in Hawaii. Very little pulp and easy clean up just for that amount of juicing.
So then I decided to really put it to the test and this is what I juiced:
2 large cucumbers
10 cups of kale leaves
10 cups of spinach leaves
ginger root (about the size of my hand)
2 very small tomatoes (all I had)
6 medium sized carrots
4 whole medium green apples
12 very large strawberries
3 cups of cranberries
2 small containers of blackberries
1 1/2 to 2 lbs of red grapes
All of the above filled the pulp bin lined with a plastic shopping bag (not packed full either) and made 4 full quarts of juice.
I did not have to cut anything up. In comparison to the new Nutri Bullet or the Magic Bullet or a regular blender, this Hamilton juicer is so quiet. Though there are 6 parts to clean, 5 can all be wiped down with a little soap and rinsed very easy. The only part that involves work to clean is the juicing filter, which I soak for 5 minutes or so in Dawn Power Clean and hot water, and then it cleans very very easy with the scrub brush that is included. I also cleaned the juicing filter about half way through my above mammoth juicing experiment.
The only other juicer I owned before was the original Magic Bullet, which was extremely loud (so is the new Nutri Bullet), nearly impossible to get the juicing components really clean, and had a lotta lotta pulp. After a couple of months, the Magic Bullet was useless for juicing. The new Nutri Bullet is great for pulverizing nuts and seeds (dry), and great for making smoothies as long as you use a lot of water (otherwise they are too thick to drink). I plan on using the juice from this Hamilton juicer to make smoothies in the Nutri Bullet and I'm sure they will be perfect.
Anyways, for $49.98 on sale, I am very happy with the Hamilton Juicer. It's sturdy, very quiet for a kitchen appliance that pulverizes whole fruits and vegetables (especially in comparison to a regular blender or Bullet products), and the amount of pulp seems reasonable for the amount of juice I made. I think the key to less pulp is to keep the juicing filter clean, so if you're only making a small amount of juice at a time that should be no problem. Just make sure to soak the juicing filter if you can't clean it right away or to make it super easy to clean. I also find that lining the pulp bin with a plastic grocery bag really helps to keep clean up to a minimum. If you make smoothies, you can also think about using some of the pulp with the juice in your smoothies for even less waste.
I can say I like the juice I've made at home so far better than Jamba Juice. It's very healthy and will give you lots of energy. It was even so easy and delicious that it inspired me to write this very lengthy review. Good luck with your juicing adventures!

Loud and lazy

Bought this juicer in April 2012. I have switched from a very old semi-industrial juicer that was very difficult to clean. Used this one for the first week daily. It is sooooo loud.
This one is a bit easier to clean than the old one, but although the pilp waste container is large, you do not need it. The filter clogs up very fast, thus before the pulp waste container fills up you have to take a break and clean. If not cleaned, very little juice is extracted and all goes into the pulp disposal container.
While juicing carrots, the carrots jump around very violently, so you need to juice at least 3 at once. The pulp from carrots spits out through the vent, so after juicing i usually have to clean the bottom of the top cabinet.
Not a good product. I no longer use it.

The juicer works just as described. My only complaint is just how much pulp is left over. I knew there would be pulp, but there's a lot more than I anticipated. I tried reusing the pulp to get more juice, but it mostly just goes right back into the pulp container. Another point would be how warm the juice is after extraction. I've never owned a juicer before and didn't even think about how the process would turn cold fruit and veggies into a warm liquid. Easily solved by letting it sit in the fridge for a bit or adding ice, but just a heads up for future newbies.

Very easy to set up & take apart. Washing it is very easy and there's only a few parts to it which makes it so convenient. A brush is included also. One tip I read from the manual was to put a plastic bag inside the waste compartment for easy and non-messy cleaning afterwards. Excellent product. I've juiced celery, apples, beets, carrots, kale, spinach, & oranges with great results!

I was looking for an inexpensive juicer since did I want to invest in a more expensive one. Pulls juice of out fruits and veggies easily and to the max. The pulp that remains is dryer than that of other juicers I've tried. Easy to set up and easy to clean. I have recommended to several friends.

Broke after 2 months (parts, not motor)

Hi
Overall is a good product for the price, but it broke on me after 2 months. Detachable part with blades got stuck to the port on the motor box. When i finally was able to take it off, it pulled the actual port form the motor box making it impossible to click on and use again! Poorly made!

Mine arrived in a branded but plain brown box. Not to sure to think of that.
The juicer worked well and capable of at least a gallon worth of juice before the need of having to dump out the fibers. Cleaning the unit itself as was simple as things can get really messy with juicing.

I haven't used many juicers in the past so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but for the price and quality, it's great. Does everything it claims to. Cleaning is a little difficult but that should be expected with any juicer.
