I bought this primarily for when I fly to cut out the noise on the plane. It significantly lessens the noise, I’d say about 80%. You can still hear people talking, though it’s significantly muted. The sound quality is good when listening to music. If you’re looking for a total noise cancelling experience, you’re better off going with headphones that cover the ear. But, what I love about this is how compact it is. It all fits into a nice small zippered case, smaller than an eye glass case. The ear buds are pretty comfortable, but if you’re going to wear them for hours that conform level lessens. One more thing, you’ll need an adapter to plug into an iPhone or current Apple device as it has the old pin connection. For the price, they really should include that, but they don’t.
