My kids were all born very large (90th percentile), but since my wife and I are 5'6" and 5'2", respectively, our kids each settled on the growth curve between the 1st and 5th percentiles. As a result, all three of our kids were considered "failure to thrive" because they couldn't possibly gain weight at the same rate as their birth weight would typically produce. As a result, we almost always make 3-4 office visits per week to track weight in our kiddos. For my last daughter who was born in August 2019, we finally splurged and bought this scale to track her weight at home to make sure we were staying on top of the feedings. THE GOOD: -Extremely accurate. It was slightly different than the scale at our doctors office in total, but the fluctuations in weight were almost always the same between the office scale and this -The free Hatch app is top notch and could easily have been made as a premium perk to go along with this scale. The weight is automatically recorded in the app, saving you the work. The app is also compatible with Alexa to also record feedings and diapers without having to manually add it. This is great for those middle-of-the-night feedings. -Easy to clean -Does not slide. We have ours on the top of a wooden dresser and it feels extremely secure, even as your kiddos gets older and more wiggly. -Functions as a great changing table once you grow out of the obsessive weighing stage THE BAD: -No display on the scale itself so you must have a bluetooth device nearby to see the weight. -Pricey for what it is (but honestly, when you're desperate for accurate weighings, it's 100% worth it)

We have used this changing pad and we live it! Easy to clean! Just wipe it down with a disinfectant wipe. Tracks weight accurately. For pumping moms you can track time and date of pump and how much you collected. You can take daily pictures of baby to see their growth in pictures. You can track feedings and diaper changes. I highly recommend it!

So my wife asked me to buy this recently for our newborn. I didn't really understand why we would need or want this kind of an item but I did what I was supposed to do and bought it. Once we got it set up, which was pretty much instantaneous, I saw that it was both helpful to have a changing pad area the baby looked comfortable in but it was neat to weigh her and see how she was doing weight wise after only a few days old. We've been using each day since then and can see with pretty good accuracy her growth in terms of weight. The only issue we had was that ut occasionally is off and has to be reset back to zero. This could be because we have moved it and put it out of calibration or it could be just thr way it is. That is pretty quick to do but has been annoying sometimes when it is off by a lb. Overall, nice piece of baby equipment
