My 4year old granddaughter had a blast getting these to hatch. The animals are very fun and cute. I would recommend waiting until your child is a little older since there are certain ways that you need to react to things they do to get the best experience with them.

Last year you could not find these anywhere. Or if you did they were triple in price. Then come to find out many were defective or had other issues. Their prices soon plummeted and they were on sale come March. Well now it looks like they got the bugs out, ans this time you get two (twins) characters Good, no fighting. They got it right this time and it is a little cheaper too. Win/win.

The hatching is extremely fun... after that it is better suited for 5+ years old
