PLEASE READ THIS - these cards aren't what you....
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review....think. So I bought 6 of these $30 cards on the 11th and just redeemed them now, the 29th, now that my Google third party account was cancelled and expired (you can't use these gift cards on 3rd party billed accounts). I plugged them all in and now I'm all paid out for a year?.... NO. I'm good until the 23rd... but what about my missing 6 days? It's because HBO doesn't bill these $30 Gift Cards as 2 months of service they bill them as $15 for 30 days. So each $30 gift card is good for 60 days and not 2 months which means on all the months in the year that are 31 days... HBO cuts you off from that 31st day and uses your next batch of 30 days. Its only a few days, but people should be aware of this.

Make great gifts

Easy to setup, HBO at this time does not force you to add a credit card when creating the account. I bought two which will last them three months.

HBO Makes it difficult to use

In order to redeem them, I had to wait for our HBO sub to end. Then resub using these cards as payment. Not Best Buy’s fault but did make it more annoying to redeeem. Removed one star bc of issues redeeming on HBO site. I was able to renew after a month when the sub ended

Q: Questionsubscription is $14.99 a month, so why isn't the gift cards that much ? isn't there leftover wasted money on each card then?

- A:Answer If you dont have an account set up with automatic billing HBO will give you $25 (or whatever the gift card amount is) towards HBO Now service. So a $25 Gift Card will get you a little more than a month and a half's worth of service.
