My 4 yr old loved this thing. I will be honest, it is pretty cool. It even changes directions after certain amount of time and also shuts off after a certain amount of time (saves the batteries). It does also come with extra batteries, most toys don't come with any and this comes with extras!

Spins around underwater and submerge should and rises to the surface like good little robot squid, but I left mine in the water for a week and it’s no longer rises and submerges so I got to play with it one day.
